Re: Starting line up against Workington
That's usually a sign that the league has become weaker and teams have dropped off to similar levels. People said the premier league was more competitive the last 3 or 4 years but the proof of the pudding has been in Europe where the English teams did less well than before.TownUltra wrote:I agree there isn't a stand out Chester like team like last year, but I think the general standard and average quality of team is higher. Ferriby and Brackley are gash

Re: Starting line up against Workington
Not gash, but we battered both (still losing to Brack), both probably had their worst games v us and we played very well v Ferriby.
What they are currently better than us at is being consistent in terms of performance to get the desired result.
COME ON TOWN Turn up the goal hose. (6 in 2) it could start raining goals.
Oxford is massive. Town fans have a PHD in hunger for this one. Worcester looks saucy as well.

Could get a decent crowd to this game, if the weather holds up.

We have signed Liam Hardy up to a 'proper' contract, surely deserves it on his recent performances, he might just be the 20 goal striker we need...not convinced yet. But good to see him start delivering the goods. Next few games are essential: three wins and we will be back in contention. For Gawd's sake lets try and be positive!

the next three games are all winnable strange tho that we are playing Workington so soon after meeting them but rather them than Alty, Hednesford, NFU or Brackley

Worcester lost their fa cup replay at Lincoln tonight 3-0 so that game will be going ahead on 9th November (weather permitting).
