Since it's been a bit quiet on here I have done a bit of reminiscing.
Do you remember some of these people and what they had to say?

its all changing now as the people at the top of the club have listened to the people at the bottom of the hierarchy, improvements have been showing consistently.
Happy days now

Re: Weaver needs to go
Townfan, I was one of them, and I've been a fierce critic of Simon. But credit to him, he's finally got it together on the pitch. I'm quite happy to admit it when I'm proved wrong.
Hopefully it will be onwards and upwards and we finish in the playoffs.

I was one too, very happy to be proved wrong. To be fair, it did look very bleak 10 months ago, could anyone really have expected this, but Simon has shown he is a real manager, done virtually nothing wrong this season. Great win today! Real 6 pointer on Tuesday, I am a nervous wreck already!

Thought I might have got a bite from one or two of the forgotten ones, but unfortunately we seem to have won again.

Re: Weaver needs to go
I've always thought we would become a team to be reckoned with, much to the amusement of some who used to post on here.
Well, how good does it feel now!
We lost last week, what a way to put that behind us.
Congratulations, Simon, and to all the team, bring on Fylde!!!

I don't know about you, but six years foreplay is plenty long enough.
More of a premature miscalculation Mr Richtea.

Yes because we've never had a good run before have we? Long, long way to go before anyone has proven me wrong.GARAGE wrote:Now be man enough to admit you were possibly wrong or crawl back again

We may not reach the playoffs but its been a super team to watch this season with some absolute cracking games to watch so get down to watch some games if you really are interested in Town doing well no matter whose running it.

Re: Weaver needs to go
Its not just a good run, almost everything is different now, most of all the team are plainly a unit and are playing for the manager. The relations between the fans and the club have been healed, we are all together now. Does that mean we will reach the play offs? Who knows, but this set of lads will give it a hell of a go. As a manager I don't think Simon can be faulted this season. Most of us are enjoying the ride. Your loss.

Quite nostalgic reading all that, and some 'famous' names. Where are they now I wonder? Missing some great football, that's for sure.

Interesting Paul - we had the Ladies Open Evening this week to discussed plans to start an open age Ladies Team next season - we were hoping for between 20 and 30 people and ended up with over 70 in attendance and plenty of the parents impressed with the progress the Club has made.
1st team success remains THE key priority but take it from me there is plenty of positive stuff going on in the background.
Happy Days - Lets enjoy them
ps. great atmosphere in the Kop this week to see 2 goals of the highest class - if Messi had done what Jack Emmett produced Sky Sports would have been replaying it all week - absolute magic and Brendans goal was pretty good as well.

Re: Weaver needs to go
Agreed Ged. I suppose it's a timely reminder that 'dark days' can happen very quickly with frustration at results leading to all manner of problems. Hopefully the thread can drive us all on, fans/players/back room staff and the rest of the Town family to work together to ensure that Harrogate Town reaches its full potential.
