    Team vs Alfreton

Post by Crossan on Fri Oct 27, 2017 4:34 pm

Putting my managers hat on here is my team for tomorrow

    Belshaw
    Fallowfield
    Kennedy
    Burrell
    OHanlon
    Emmet (wide right)
    Falkingham (central Mid)
    Thompson (central mid)
    Leesley (wide left)
    Nelson (striker)
    Thewlis (striker)

Thompson got a lot of goals last season playing behind strikers so why is Simon playing him wide right???

So why would you play him CM and move jack out wide who scored playing central on Tuesday?

I think wide right is Jacks best position and Thompson scored 20 goals last season playing in a central role behind the strikers.

He didn't score them playing CM tho, scored them playing off a forward as a number 10, can't see why playing CM will make much difference, jacks been a revaluation in CM alongside falkingham

Well as football fans we all have our opinions and I disagree that Emmett has been a revelation this season, not saying has been and he does run at defences and cause some problems but still think his best position is wide right. I think Thompson would score more goals from a more central position.

Jack was fantastic on Saturday. He has been a revelation playing in the middle.

TopCat, I thought you would be adding a comment, fair play to Jack for getting the pen and a goal. I saw the highlights on UTube, another headed goal against us, we are suffering with our lack of height. Burrell and Kennedy are both good in the air but they need help when the opposing side has a corner or free kick as defenders come forward as did Alfretons center back Allan. Great display by Harrogate to hang on for the win with Belshaw outstanding. The return of Ainge, Kerry, Parker and Swain will add experience to the team.
