We seem to rely more on TWITFACE for news than the website.

December 1st - at last something to get worked up about. Let's hope the game is on given no premier league and Town playing with such joie de vivre.
Let's keep things in perspective

Feeling a bit under the weather today so will miss the match (rare for me). So I am hoping for a rather dull 1- 0 win! I don't want to miss a goal fest!

Disappointing! Sounds as though we made loads of chances as well. 603 there as well. We are bound to lose some games so no doom and gloom (well a bit!) Need to take those chances.

I gave the ref MOTM for them today, apparently shirt pulling is allowed in the box, we should try it. We should have been 4 or 5 up in the first half and then when we threw the kitchen sink at them 2nd, how we didn't get an equalizer is beyond me. But these things happen in football, onwards to next Sat.

Really good performance today - only thing wrong was the result. It has been a recurring theme this season so far of making chances and missing them. Same again today, could have been out of sight by the interval.
Just read the match report - comical. Apparently their first goal came from a corner not a free kick on the edge of the box! Their second goal was a fluke!

Just how we lost.. really should have gone in 3 up at half time. There keeper had a blinder plus to be fair their back four gave everything to the cause. But we really should be scoring more, goals we must have had 10 clear cut chances and to be honest it seems to be happening in most matches lately..we just can't seem to score.
Anyway lets move on.Every team no matter who they are, will lose games. We are still in the great shape 5th place.
Hopefully we can start scoring, that's all that's missing right now.

Re: Saturday 14 November
Alfreton were always going to be a tough ask, but the offside decision for the 1st goal baffles me. Their number 3 was quite content to just shirt pull and the referee and linesman were shocking today. Some of their decisions were baffling. It was like 14 vs 11.
I cant fault the commitment of the players today. The only minor irritation was Crook messing up on the second goal, but they gave it their all to get back into the game. It just didn't happen for us.
Onwards to Corby and hopefully 3 points.

MOM for me was Swain but he was lucky along with Sheils to not being sent off for tackles that some refs would have read differently. Daniels had an off day and seemed to want to score with spectacular long range efforts mainly off target. Why were both McGurk and Bloomer on the bench? We could have done with Emmett to try something different. Well done the groundstaff for getting the game on on a very wet day. Finally simpathy to Crook who made one hell of a cock up and he seems to make one every few games but is generally great.

Who'd be a goalkeeper? From penalty saves and man of the match to responsibility for one of the worst goals I have ever seen conceded. As for goal scoring in each of the last 3 home games we have managed just one spectacular effort - time we netted a few ordinary goals! Nevertheless it was a good game to watch played by two committed sides, sometimes too committed, in difficult conditions.

Re: Saturday 14 November
Great drive, commitment and determination showed by all the team to a man, made for enjoyable, but very frustrating as well. Despite the shirt pulling, time wasting and feigning injury tactics of the opposition, we continued throughout to be the better team. Unfortunately, we were the masters of our own downfall today: we were not clinical enough in front of the goal, ( we should have been at least four up at half time,) and then there was the very out of character mistake by Crook. So, we need to move on, put that behind us and enjoy some more great football that our team plays - and hopefully, next time, get our just deserts.

Re: Saturday 14 November
At least Fylde and the Moors only drew so no great damage done. Looks as though Nuneaton might walk it this season. Ferriby look dangerous (again), we must try and stay in the top 5. Solihull must lose sometime surely!

Re: Saturday 14 November
Fylde and Moors drawing has softened the blow (a bit). I still expect the club to be in the playoffs come the end of the season, based on the quality at our disposal.

Re: Saturday 14 November
In my humble opinion, Nuneaton, Fylde and Solihull will occupy the top three places. We are capable of one of the other two.
