Deadly serious ... can you give me week with the squad? Will happily take a week's leave from work, lenighan off you go son, cancel your contract, on your way. Killock - in you come - get marshalling, you're club captain and first on the term sheet. Walshaw - centre forward - none of this playing on the wing bollocks. Bolder - no good you been on the bench at ferriby - you're needed at town. Simon, macca - thanks but don't need you guys. John deacey - you know the club, well respected with good contacts, hop on board. And so on ...

Re: message to the weavers
It was good to meet you today and I know your a true town fan and want the best for the club ! Oh dear where do we start ? Back to basics I think ? A great team sheet but an inept performance due to no leadership on a great pitch ?

Re: message to the weavers
i could not agree more TS, at the moment i am so pissed off and angry with whats going on at the club on and off the field but i need to calm down before i give a bigger response to todays shambles but i will just say one thing "SIMON DO THE RIGHT THING AND GO AND DO IT NOW" you are incapable of managing this team you have had five years and we are no better off than we where before you came

My message to the Weavers....do us all a favour and leave. Preferably Simon only, but if daddy goes as well, so be it.

Re: message to the weavers
Who remembers the days when managers had the dignity to resign? Rarer than rocking horse sh*t now.
People scoff at Kevin Keegan as a quitter but at least he didn't hang around waiting for a pay out when he knew he couldn't do the job. Shame there aren't a few more like that.
So what is Simon waiting for? Because all he's doing right now is making life very awkward and embarrassing for his father.

Re: message to the weavers
If he resigns (which, of course, he should), where will he go, what will he do? No other club will employ him (unless dad rolls up too with his wallet bulging), with his record at Town. So his football dreams will be over. No wonder he hangs on, even with the loss of all self respect. Sad, because as we all say, nice guy, nice family.

I'm sure some club in the Lower Leagues would take a punt on him, maybe at Sunday League Level......

Re: message to the weavers
He could be a decent coach at a full time club i think. He has the knowledge and coaching badges and prehaps with an entire week to impliment it he would get better results
other then that maybe an evo stuck team would take him??

Re: message to the weavers
I think even most of the Evo Stik teams wouldnt touch him either.
The soul of our club has been ripped out and fed to the devil.
I would rather be supporting a team who has an impartial chairman, doesnt have money to burn and where the fans are happy, than support a team, that has a wealthy backer who is a nepotist and be unhappy.

Re: message to the weavers
I've said this before but he has his Uefa A coaching licence and also has the 'experience' of 5 years as a manager in the conference north. He's still in his 30's and so could very easily find coaching work at a club (possibly at a much higher level) and go from there. It's the only pathway open for him now really.paulstreet wrote:If he resigns (which, of course, he should), where will he go, what will he do?

As much as this is wishful thinking, it will never happen. Unfortunately.

Shame because Walshaw was at his most prolific playing under Kittrick at Guiseley
