It wouldn't surprise me if we got a couple of thousand in for this game.

Well done to the club for arranging fixtures of this calibre. Just another indicator of how far Harrogate Town FC has come. Very Happy

Just a small point to Mr Press Man

You have spelt Mr Di Canio's name wrong on the website... its Paolo not Paulo Very Happy

And if Mr Weaver or any of the staff are reading this amazing job guys. If you are needing mascots or whatever i have a little brother who would love to meet the Sunderland and Harrogate players Very Happy

"Meanwhile, Darlington have arranged a friendly at home to Sunderland on Saturday, July 20.

The Black Cats will send their under-21 development side to Heritage Park, though Quakers understand they may also include a handful of senior players."

i suspect we will have the same kind of team coming to us then...

highlights of the Sunderland game against Darlo yesterday... that is the team which will most likely come to Harrogate. Im sure many will reconise one of the Sunderland goalscorers from his volly at the CNG last season Wink

It includes one first team player and Scottish international and three or four others who are expected to break through into the Sunderland squad either this year or next year....

oh and one of those is thought by many to be the best prospect Sunderland have ever produced (baring in mind we sold Henderson for £15m thats not bad...)

I think it will be a really decent crowd tonight. I'm just hoping that Harrogate fans turn out in force as well. We will get plenty of U18s in tonight due to the free tickets for Vauxhall. I wouldnt be surprised if it did get to 800-900.

610+. Good crowd for a Wednesday night. A lot of Sunderland fans there.

A good Team from the Maccas. Arguably the best we've seen. Once they got in to their stride they looked the part. We won't see many teams like that over the season.

Luckily, after their 2 goals, we upped our game and certainly deserved an equaliser. Though I'm not sure where it would come from as they had Hall closely watched and he seemed our most direct threat.

    But a good game nonetheless.

Yep, after they scored their second I thiught we might end up losing 5 or 6 - 1. They were all over us then. We did really well to come back and make a real game of it, 2-2 would not have been an unfair result.

Really pleased we have signed Rowe, looks very exciting. Hope there might be room in the squad for Sam Jones as well. Some of their passing and movement was breath-taking. I wouldn't be surprised to see Whatmore break into the first team squad this season, exciting little player.

I haven't seen a dud pre-season match this season, all have been really entertaining and we have scored a few goals as well. Railway on Saturday and then we get to find out how good we really are a week on Saturday...the calm before the storm.

    First half against Lincoln? Laughing

But I take your point and am very encouraged too.

But as you point out, the match against Railway will be a test too as (hopefully) both teams will be wanting to win.
