Don't think tonight will decide anything for sure. Hinckley are one of the best three sides in the league and no team has lost fewer than the three defeats they have suffered.
If we get anything from the game it will be a good result (hopefully, if we do lose, it is not by more than 2 goals because we will be back on the bottom of the league)

The first half performance i was getting seriously worried for our season, but then the 2nd half came around AND BAM!!!!! we were in their faces getting stuck in so well and really bearing down on goal on so many occasions, credit has to be given to weaver for making the sub at half time. The whole squad and management team looked absolutely delighted with the 2nd half performance and so they should be... GET IN THERE!!!!!!!!!

Great second half fightback - bearing in mind this is the 1st Town game that 5 new players had been involved in, I thought the last 45 minutes were exceptional. For the 1st time in a long time I felt we went at the opposition, played without fear, held onto the ball instead of giving it away, and a distinct sign that players were prepared to take responsibility - rock solid in defence in the second half.
1st half not so good - Aaron made up for the goal with 2 stunning saves but we seemed off the pace though we played well in the 1st 10 minutes - don't know what Simon did at 1/2 time (Red Bull??) but if he could bottle it the club would make a fortune!!
Disappointing crowd so doubled up on the raffle and still didn't get within 50 of the winning number - great 3 points and whilst one swallow doesn't make a summer a performance to feel optimistic about.
Great to leave the ground feeling positive.
Happy New Year!! cheers cheers cheers

Great night, if rather frustrating for me, missed the last 2 goals due to having to catch train! Agree with everything the last two posters say: you have to give credit to Simon Weaver for 1)picking the right team: Nowakowski was excellent, some superb balls through to the strikers, Sturdy was rock solid and almost scored (great to see him back!) 2) doing or saying something at half time to lift the players, and an inspired substitution with Bradley, and not waiting till the 70th minute to do it either. Second half was awesome, Town looked dangerous every time they attacked (how often have we said that recently!), To be honest Bradley and Knox look pretty intimidating bearing down on the defence, and you could see Hinckley visibly wilting under the pressure. I thought for a moment Jsmes Dean's twin brothers had signed for us Smile

I guess we need to keep calm, it IS only one win and we need plenty more, but its hard to see this team not winning more matches..so well done to the people who found the new players (and I guess Bill must be digging into his wallet for their wages), well done to Simon for finding the right 11 (or 12!), and getting that second half performance out of them.

Now we need more fans to return...142 was shocking Shocked
