Fan ideas for 16/17 season?

At the risk of sounding like the archetypal Guardian reader here, could I remind us that it is 2016 here. It should be a women's team not 'ladies' and Harrogate Town Women works just fine.

'Salamanders' sounds OK, but I have always thought 'Sulphurites' is distinctive and unusual and we should stick with that.

Absolutely agree that an A5 fixture card, widely distributed, is a no-brainer, should have been done ages ago. Cost would be minimal (compared to installing a 3G pitch anyway!). Posters around the town advertising upcoming games has often been mentioned as something the club could look at. Again, surprised it hasn't been done before.

Any plans for 1919 to be open for some of the England game. Posted elsewhere on here about ideas for sorting out snagging list with work party, bbq and watching a game whilst Stockport lads are doing their charity walkabout?

I would doubt it.

Opened for the world cup and hardly anyone turned up. Was well advertised too.

Suppose it's too far out of Town.

Need to remember that to open it, H&T need to either pay someone wages or taken the time off their full time jobs.

Can we ramp up the PR machine now the fixtures are out.

Like to see some sort of fixtures list poster that can go out to venues in town plus email to supporters couple of days before games (home especially) giving some details of the opposition (can be cribbed from their homepage) plus previous results etc and contact info for away travel.

Is there any chance of having a calendar of events per month on the homepage detailing all games across the age ranges, women's team and open training events for the town first team and if the 1919 is going to be open. Could also include Supporters Group meetings.

This could supplement multiple Twitter and Facebook posts but would put all the information in one place.

Will follow up with this when I return from holiday - good idea!

Could we have profiles of all the individuals that make up the first team so we can get to know all the existing and new players. Stats plus favoured positions, club history and a brief natter would be great and hopefully crank up the excitement ready for the Worcester game.

* 50/50 raffle at each home game to raise money for SG and/or charity- HAPPENED ONCE-GOOD MONEY RAISED

*developing a charitable strategy where we 'adopt' charities for a season- BRING UP @ SG

*highlights embedded in website plus calender of events on monthly basis covering all events at CNG

*posters/flyers/car stickers in local shops- DUE TO COMMENCE

*leaflets distributed to all schools highlighting PDC plus Town information

*e-newsletter mailed out every week highlighting town games but also other activites.

*expand merchandise range to include calender/mugs/water bottles etc- SEE FYLDE ONLINE SHOP

*develop walking football with referrals from local CCG (clinical commissioning group)- GP referrals/advertising/Age Concern

* work to gain access to top NHS carpark to mitigate neighbourhood parking issues plus revenue raiser on matchdays

*Town coaching staff to run coaching sessions for coaches from the junior leagues and invite clubs down to train at town with a view to filling slots at St John Fisher pitch.

*Develop friendly football for over 12's where they can play and enter teams of mates to play in friendly competitive league with supervision

IDEAS FOR 17/18.

*summer football gala to be held @CNG involving junior football clubs

*Harrogate Town to invest in stall to take to junior football galas as well as town centre prior to release of season tickets, handing out freebies and garnering email addresses to expand e-programme and database

*flexi ticket- direct debit plus ability to buy 10 games instead of entire season.

*Round robin match involving local teams (Tadcaster/Railway/Knaresborough/York etc) for a cup in closed season so 3/4 games of shortened duration leading to playoffs and final.

*Possible link up with St. Patricks for pre-season friendly tour or invite to play over here- SEE FAN FORUM

Seeing as we are expanding into junior setups and also social use in a big way at the CNG could we become a central popint for giving old/grown out of kit to charity. Over 6 bags and they will collect it with a co-ordinator in Halifax, and it gives a charitable feel to Town, as well as allowing us to advertise kit drives with junior clubs/schools. Every donated item gets a postcard with Town fixtures on it as a little reward.

The next step for our matchday coverage

Seeing as Santa is greasing his sleigh, any chance of the online shop getting a Christmas makeover. Plenty of little stocking fillers like t-shirts/kit for the bairns, home kit for fat old dad and branded 4 pack of beer for the other half! On a serious note though, calenders might go well as we can use action shots of the first half of the season, mini season tickets to get you into x number of home games, expanded clothing range inc the new yellow and black banner logo. What other merchandise would fans like to see or buy as gifts as only 2 odd months to get orders in!

In this bleakest of mid winters and seeing as we are having a range of mobile catering options in the ground, could we look at a range of companies and rotate them. Could involve charitable enterprises such as the scouts manning their own food stall to raise funds to hog roasts and a hot chestnut vendor for the Stockport game over Christmas. Talking of a the festive season, any chance of some stocking fillers in the shop?
