Re: Match Thread
According to the updates it seems to be a fairly even match so far... Town just need to break it up to be stronger and get those all important 3 points... Go Town !

Good win. Very good win. I'm a big fan of that Youhill lad reminds me of Phillips or Scooby.
Another tough test next week in the form of Stalybridge. But I think everyone will be up for it!

Re: Match Thread
Yes, we were smiling all the way back up the A1.
Good solid performance today.
Defence looked solid and when they did get through they found Cookie in great form.
Wilson & Bolland were solid in centre mid & it felt like Chib had never been away, he just carried on from where he left off last season.
Only negative, with Johnny Allen out injured couldn't understand why we didn't have Paul Beesley on the bench.
Anybody know how Chris Elliot is progressing?

Re: Match Thread
That was my first away day with Town since I moved to Harrogate a couple of years ago and I had a great time. A few observations:
Pre match most of the Home fans seemed to think they would stuff us!
Gainsborough's squad on the whole was tiny in comparison to ours(This was very obvious on the handshake), and yet they kept hoofing it up field! Their best play was when they got it wide to the wingers and ran at us.
Our Keeper made some great saves when their strikers did threaten, one or two fantastic ones, especially one reaction save from close range.
Chib ran and ran and his energy kept us alive in the second half, his pace threatened to counter at every opportunity.
Gainsborough had several very good chances, but didn't put them away.
The whole side played really well, and looked pretty threatening on the counter.
The toilets are pretty horrific! The home fans were mostly a good bunch, although towards the end a few were a little bit hostile, seemed to be their singing corner.

Re: Match Thread
On paper we shouldn't have won this, but we did - and it looks and sounds like we deserved it too. So well done to all.
