After reading this it seems that is the case, wonder why he would though?

I agree the journalism is rather poor and can be taken either way.

Maybe he's waiting till his contract runs out. So no compensation is needed.

I'm of the opinion that if Weaver has asked him to turn up pre-season and earn a contract, then maybe he would stay at Halifax and sign a new contract? He's a good player, and I'm sure Aspin would keep him on the books.

Pre-Season training starts on Saturday! It'll be interesting to see who turns up!
