Irving Weaver takes over Town!

Irving Weaver has taken control of Harrogate Town, however, Bill Fotherby will still stay on as Chairman?

Tad Nowakowski(Adams Dad?) becomes a director?

What is going on? Is this a move forward or has Simon now got his job for life regardless of work/performance?

I am utterley confused and a little worried about this news, thoughts anyone?

to add to confusion, Will Weaver Snr inject some money into the club? Has Alan Williams gone? When's the forum? Is this good or bad news?

Read the Advertiser , it tells you everything you need to know, Massive article on the back page and just inside the back page, Alan Williams will still be there, he says that he wont be powering money into the club he will be stabalising the club and giving Simon a budget that is about the average for the league but still good enough to be competitive,

Sounds like a good step for the club IMO ,

Good news in general, But:

New owner, Irving Weaver, 62, who is the father of manager Simon Weaver, made his fortune building a successful business in the construction industry. He is currently chairman of Strata Homes and acquires control of Harrogate Town by virtue of Bill selling his stake in the club to the housing firm.

Kind of confirms what we already knew. I can bear what could arguably be called corruption at the club if the parties concerned can ensure a successful and fruitful upcoming season. Any kind of extra finance is totally welcomed, and I hope that now we can push on.

Very happy with this news, Bill had taken the club as far as he could and now Irving Weaver has taken over.

I am disappointed in the fact that it is the managers' father that has taken over, obviously because with his son being manager, it makes Simon's job more secure.

Maybe the partnership will work well enough to create a positive link and bring success to the club
