Irving Weaver was on Radio York today.

Fast Forward to the last hour of the program ( 2:06:45 ) straight after the Everly Brothers 'Bye Bye Love'.

    An interesting listen.

Just listened to some of it, very interesting as you say. Pretty clear from what Mr Weaver says that he goes where Simon goes, so I suppose we better hope that Simon stays (never thought I'd being saying that!), at least until Irving has sorted out the finances. Certainly the implication of what I heard was that this is not a case of getting a new manager if Simon doesn't cut the mustard, if Irving is owner, Simon is manager...get used to it guys!

What bothers me is how much more confidence I have with Weaver senior at the top than with the previous incumbent. He ain't promising us much, but he does seem to have a logical plan to improve the club AND to make it stable if/when he goes.

I'm prepared to put up with the younger Weaver for a time on that basis.

It WON'T however stop me from criticising if I think it's necessary.
