    Blue Square Bet North club Harrogate Town have signed 19-year-old defender Jake Picton following the sad demise of former league rivals Ilkeston Town.

    Picton is a very composed central defender who makes excellent use of the ball. Previously a member of the Scunthorpe United youth set up, he had a loan spell with Gainsborough Trinity in the Conference North last season.

    He joined Ilkeston in July 2010.

    Well a defender is definately what we need , a composed defender as well is perfect, hopefully no long balls, only 19 though! bit of pressure on him to perform straight away. Lets hope Weavers made a good acquisition silent

    Ah yes! Another player i know from my Scunthorpe United knowledge, was a reserve player there for a few years and reserve captain. Should do well, knows Danny Wright too. Good signing from Weaver Very Happy

    Have you seen the squad page on the site, the quality of the images is embarrassing haha, theyve tried to cut the players pictures out using the rubber tool by the looks of it Very Happy lol

    In this case, Harrogate did not supply the information to anyone, I would have a guess that it came from an ex-Ilkeston source.

    Also Mark works full time and it is difficult for him to update the website at the drop of a hat, he does update it as soon as:

    a) he gets a chance

    b) as soon as he gets the info

    Sorry im not blaming Mark, im blaming the Club itself. Many times we have seen players on the teamsheet that we didnt even know have signed for us!
