Thoughts on Tuesday night Empty Thoughts on Tuesday night

    Hi all

New poster here - just thought I'd share my thoughts after being at your game vs Fylde on Tuesday as a neutral

I watch a lot of non league football (and also a lot of league football!) and for me, Tuesday night pretty much ticked all the boxes.

Real ale in the clubhouse, good programme, excellent food choice, an entertaining game and a great effort from your fans in creating an atmosphere that you don't normally hear at this level

I was with a couple of mates and we all said afterwards what a fun night it had been - well done to all concerned!

I watch Leeds home & away and as I completed the 92 a few years ago,I now get non league grounds ticked off in steps 1-6 of the Pyramid when Leeds aren't playing and am currently on 285 grounds in total.

However, because new grounds are getting progressively further away from where I live, I sometimes don't have time on a midweek to get there after work and will then look for a local game to go to - thats what happened on Tuesday night (I've been to Harrogate Town a few times but not recently and was abroad for the Leeds pre-season friendly)

I'll definitely be back to HTFC and am also looking for a date this season when I can watch you at an an away game, its a new ground for me and it doesn't clash with a Leeds game!!

You would receive a warm welcome on the supporters club coach if you wanted to attend an away game with us. We try and get a coach to most away trips.

Thanks for the offer - do you do a pub stop enroute or just go straight to the ground and use the clubhouse?

And are you happy to pick me/us up your way to a game if I arranged somewhere that was on your normal route? I ask that because I split my time between houses in Leeds and Knaresborough and there'd be no point driving to Harrogate if you were travlling south and I was in Leeds that day

    Thanks

Its more habit than anything else tbh - had a ST since 79 and started going to away games shortly afterwards

The real interest for me is the travel/day out and if its a new ground thats a bonus - thats why I started doing non league when there were no new league grounds to visit and if there wasn't a Leeds game on.

And these games have the added bonus of the things I listed in my opening post - hence why I need to get to a couple of your away games and see what the crack's like:)

And as my Partner lives in Knaresborough and I spend a lot of time at hers, I'd also be supporting my local club! (with apolgoies to Knaresborough Town and Harrogate Railway)
