Walshaw scored 29 goals last season, more than Worsfold and Hall put together

Paul Brayson looked like a big signing at the time, but we got him just at the point when he started going down hill.

Bit of a Catch-22 in the signing isn't there? We got him to get us promotion and he left Alty because they GOT promotion! Could be a one year wonder then!

hey Paul, if he brings us promotion and then leaves, I will take that....pretty obvious he would leave given that he has left Alty but if he wants to bag the same wage again next season if we do get promoted he would have to make sure he is a big hitter again this season.

I think the thing is with Wally over the years is his work ethic, he has given his all to every club he has played for and if he keeps up the work ethic he will create his own chances...Brayson was just a pie muncher, didn't have the appetite, played with his head down and therefore not potent.

    Walshaw, Kendall and Worsfold upfront....wow!

I wonder how they will all fit it. I personally would play all three.

Just read the MEN article (thanks Neil), looks very promising. Lets hope we get his signature on the contract ASAP and up on the official site. We certainly need three strikers (all successful teams do), wonder what this means for Rankine? 4 strikers would be crazy (but great  Smile

Walshaw played alot on the right for Alty and still bagged the goals and we have the option of playing worsfold behind the front two.....mix and match, will be attacking which ever way we look at it

    from the BPA forum

Two things Harrogate Man ,the club will have to sort out a small but obnoxious group of young, clever in the head and fired up with firewater,so called supporters with their vile chanting ,certain stewards there know who they are and do nothing, seem to think that it is acceptable and secondly with regard to Walshaw nearer home or not I dont think that he is good enough now to hack it and he might be able to con referees easier to give penalties in conference north considering the poor standard of officials that I observed last year and previously.I dont think that they are improving.

Buying the top players and paying the best wages isn't always the solution. It helps but....

..... the most important person at the club is the manager, and in my opinion Harrogate could and should do better.

We are Bradford - and we've got a better manager.

Some truth in the post above. Not getting too excited until I see us play over the course of 15-20 games. Forward line is undoubtedly impressive but they need to play in a system that works for them and with an improved supply line.

I had a look at Ryan Kendall's twitter feed last night, and from what I have read. He has signed terms for next season, and it will be announced this week? It's Thursday now, so I'd like to know if he has signed for us.

Would be quite disappointed if it is not us, but from what I gather, we would be the most logical choice for him for locality to Hull, and can offer him first team football.

I have just asked him on Twitter if he is joining a team who play in Yellow and Black (not Gloucester) and his reply was 'ha ha, we shall see mate'.

Agree, you did a great job last year.

I heard yesterday that Harrogate are supposedly paying Ryan Kendal a near 10k signing on fee, and close to 1k a week with goal bonuses equating to £500 per goal.

God only knows what they are pat

I have heard that the figure is half that and on the same wage as he was on at NFU.

There is no way on this planet our Chairman would pay anyone close to that amount a week. Anyone who is suggesting those figures is ridiculous, and I do honestly believe our Chairman would make the same statement.

I'm sure the players will be on Key Player salaries with bonuses on top, but nowhere near the figures being banded about.

The safe rule of thumb to use when reading anything about player salaries is to completely ignore it! It is pure tittle-tattle at best

A small request but could we ensure our players are actually registered to play for us this time.
