Matt Heath...a great signing Empty Matt Heath...a great signing

Seems to me we are not making enough noise about the Matt Heath signing: a real coup for Town. I looked at his Wiki yesterday and could hardly believe we have signed him. 16 games for Leicester in the Prenier League (yes, THE Premier League), 60 games for Leeds United, over a 100 for Colchester, plus interesting loan spells as well. This his first non-league club, he is still only 32 so a few years in him yet!

Have we ever signed a player with a better pedigree? Aspin perhaps, Roy Hunter, anyone else spring to mind?

Mark Atkins was fairly impressive, even if he was a few years past his prime. A premiership winner with Blackburn Rovers

No reason why we couldn't have signed Richard Brodie on loan a couple of months ago. Not that long since he was banging them in for York on a regular basis. Still only 24. Would have cost a fair bit, but would have been worth it. I'm sure his friends in the north east would have recommended us to him!!!!

    Good player.

Havig said that Aspin would have signed Messi and Deacey would have created a time machine and brought Pele from 1970 into the present day. Boo hiss. It's all a nightmare.
