Re: transfer window thread
Wow / balls, that's some signing. If only Suarez was a boyhood Town fan... We can dream.

Thats bloody ambition for you!!!!
I hope Simon and Irving are taking note of this, and realise he needs to pull better tricks than David Blane & Dynamo put together in this transfer window!!

With 6 injuries as well, I really do hope that there is some 'action' going on down at the CNG. If nothing else I think we fans need a bit of a boost to our morale and a new signing (or two!) usually provides that...at least for a while.

Re: transfer window thread
Ex Leeds United, Leicester City and Coventry defender Matt Heath has joined Town. Decent signing?

Re: transfer window thread
With Craig’s player of the month awards so far this season it must be nice to know as a manager you have someone performing consistently between the sticks!
Unfortunately it also suggests that the players in front of him haven’t been doing their jobs properly defensively as the side have kept very few clean sheets despite Craig’s efforts!!!!

Well, we best enjoy it, because he will be gone by the time the window closes.

Re: transfer window thread
Cracking signing in Matt Heath there, hopefully he's joined us not just get his fitness back and move up the leagues again. Full credit to Simon for brining in a player of his calibre, can only help the team, his experience in the back line alongside killock could be key in the coming weeks!

Re: transfer window thread
That to me is one key area to address....Perhaps now we can stop squandering goals and firstly turn those 1-0 defeats into 0-0 draws or to stop squandering those 2-0 leads (Stalybridge)...If we get a striker maybe those 0-0 draws can turn into 1-0 wins providing we can get consistency and tighten up the midfield too.

Re: transfer window thread
Struggle to get too excited about any new signings. Not necessarily because they're not good signings as they mostly are. The problem lies that we sign so many players and for whatever reason so many of them don't work out. I also wonder at some point that word will get out amongst players thst we're not worth bothering with. There are plenty of players who can't be best pleased with their development under Weaver. I'm sure word is out in the north east following the experience of brayson, turnbull, tait and pell. How long before the likes of anton brown and others tell their mates they'd be best off elsewhere? Even if we signed Reeves as many feel we should, how ling before he appears distinctly average too.
