statue for bill

Isn't it time that a statue was erected in recognition of bill fotherby's achievements whilst at the club?

we almost went bust and should have been relegated under his reign....

I am not sure the good folk of Harrogate would appreciate an enormous erection appearing uninvited in their floral town?

Personally speaking, I would have nothing against such an erection at the CNG.

Why is there not a statue of Dave Merris? IMO, the hospital end is a truly horrible name, and if work does go through on it. It shall be named the Dave Merris end! This may be a petition I have to start...

clearly no-one is taking this thread seriously which is a great shame. If not a statue then could i suggest renaming the 1919 venue (dull and uninspiring) in recognition of Bill's achivements. It could be called 'Bill's bar'? In fact, from now on, that is what I shall call it.

It's a good job Richard Pell didn't hang about too long, as the prospect of huge erection inscribed with the words " The Pell End" would be too much to take.

Could have put opposing teams off however, who may have struggled to play through the tears.
