The signings so far do look promising, a lot will depend on the final pieces of the jigsaw: a left back, wide man and (for security) another striker.
Of course other teams will have been making signings too: Altrincham are bound to be big players next season (as would Southport have been), Boston United are a big team in this league, Blyth will have Robbie Dale and Armstrong up front with Phillips on the wing, if they can replenish their midfield they could be dangerous. I can see FC Halifax moving straight through the Blue Square North: Neil Aspin means business! Its about time that Brian Little got Trinity moving upwards, and they have money to spend. Nuneaton will be in the mix and Stalybridge Celtic are full time (albeit mainly with youngsters), but they will have another year's experience under their belts.
In other words, it looks like we have improved, but there are 21 other teams many of whom will be thinking the same!
I also wonder about the ground situation: if we DO get promoted what happens? One year to make improvements and then out?
