Not the world's best game, but pleasant enough to watch in the sunshine; felt a bit like a pre-season friendly at times, the bust up in the second half came from nowhere! We should have won it however and, to be fair, a 1-0 Town win would have been a fair result. Still we are not losing games like this now, might have lost it 1-0 a while back. Not a lot else to say really, the attendance of 250 cannot have pleased Mr Fotherby, but to be honest there was not a lot on offer to encourage the casual supporter to turn up. We really DO need to invest in a quality striker for next season: Armstrong after all, much as I like him, has only scored 9 goals in open play, and Hardy is still a work in progress.

the home attendance was good to be fair
it's just this away team doesnt have good home support anyway it's teams like Telford that will bring the crowd!

I wouldn't quite say that. It was a lovely day, with entry fees down to the league average of £10, yet our crowds are still dwindling. Shocked

Well in the Holidays family's won't come as much and alot of people are busy.
It's just the problem of the club not promoting itself. Neutral

I'm afraid I can't agree that 250 was a good attendance, its average for the Evo-Stik Premier, good for the Evo-Stik Division One, and pretty disastrous for the Blue Square North! Trouble is you can always find excuses to explain away poor attendances: too cold, too hot, Bank Holiday, good stuff on TV etc. etc. Bottom line is we were getting over 500 regularly two years ago, so about 250 have gone missing, and they haven't all gone to Canada or New Zealand Smile
I think its going to be really difficult to get the 'lost' fans back: Mr Fotherby did entirely the right thing reducing the prices, but I'm afraid its gonna be a long haul.
