Farsley Booted out of the League

Farsley Celtic have received the news that they are no longer able to continue to play their football in the Blue Square North League.

DAM thats annoying news i just posted on teh other thread looking forward to playing them at crimbo !!!! I hope they appeal and win the appeal i want them to stay in this league

Farsley fans must be gutted. Thinking everything was getting back on track with being places in administration and having a season to look forward to and this getting thrown back in there face, pretty harsh. I agree j2021 its nice to have a local derby around xmas but from the sounds of that statement isnt looking very likely now.

Looks like Farsley may not have a league to play in, judging by the chat on the above forum and Newspaper report.

They went into administration after the conference AGM - Northwich did it before and that was their grounds for appeal

I would love Farsley to survive but an eleventh hour admin package to avoid total insolvency is crass financial mismanagement

Seems the League are digging there heals in on this one, looking even less likely that the Celts will survive. If they do receive a reprieve from expulsion the Conference bods will look like real idiots, again.
