Re: DOOTSON LEAVES!
seriously!!!!!!??? He has possibly been our best player so far this season really need to get a experienced keeper in as soon as possible if true
Just looked on fleetowod site, looks like its defianelty true , A LOAN DEAL?? hmmm, hes gone full time so its defo a step-up for him, i guess i kinda wish him well but it leaves us in a poor situation with keepers, wonder if Myers will be given the nod on saturday?

Ive been told we will be signing a keeper from Gateshead so thats either Paul Farman, Tim Deasy or Matt Cook. You heard it here first!

Re: DOOTSON LEAVES!
Has Simon Weaver lost the plot, why the hell would you let ,possibly the the best player we have had in goal for several seasons, after only 7 games. Signed Twice, left Twice (in short succesion), not a good record if you ask me.
Never mind the situation Fleet are in, answer this one: Just where do the loyalties lie?
Words fail me at the moment.

Someone has some explaining to do on this one.

Re: DOOTSON LEAVES!
Even more fascinating if what you say is true...
Simon Weaver has got to the poorest tactician, man-manager, let alone interview giver I could possibly imagine.
I'm open to suggestions on how he could somehow become a worse manager.

Re: DOOTSON LEAVES!
We know from past experience that there are always 2 sides to a story - I am a big Doots fan myself and believe he has been a key player in the new squad so will reserve judgement until all becomes clear.
Bear in mind what happened last year when it appeared he was coming to us and ended up at fleetwood! Also I have noticed his ability to give out on field xxllockings whilst making the occassional rick himself (ie. last weeks offside goal!!!).
Still it's good to see we still operate a guilty until found innocent justice system!!!!
Cum on Town - double again this year against the mighty Motors .

I agree about the 2 sides to every story statement Ged, but only one side has been forth coming, so until the club release an announcement about the decision to send Doots packing, we can only make judgement on the details available, harsh maybe, but I think we may never get an "official" statement has it has been in the past.
Hope todays game is on the Radio, the coverage this season is a little hit and miss

Re: DOOTSON LEAVES!
Dootson said to me before the season started, he didnt reject Harrogate, the story was exajerated by the Website reporter or something, Dootson met with Weaver for contract terms, but Fleetwood came in and there a team much closer to home so it was an easy decision for him, even Weaver knew they hadnt signed him just the website seemed to think it did.

This may well be turning into the same debacle of last season almost "comical" but not in a funny way!!!

Re: DOOTSON LEAVES!
And to cap it all off, Doot's has only made the bench, so not even getting a game (at the moment!) what explanation are we going to get for that then?

Re: DOOTSON LEAVES!
Kieran is a tremendous keeper
Simon Weaver worked quickly to get him to Harrogate Town
He was offered terms at Stalybridge, but the terms were not good enough
With three keepers already at Gateshead, there was no justification for a 4th keeper
Watch out for the long range, well placed throws

Re: DOOTSON LEAVES!
Would be nice if the club did give us an explanation for the Dootson scenario, I mean we are only the poor sods who pay our money at the gate

From what I gather from the other comments on the other thread. Weaver had a go at him, telling him he wasnt worth the money, and then Doots has told him that he's clueless. Hence the loan.
