Another late goal against us again!
Not a good game for us spectators to watch against a team who only came to get a point. Still wondering why we kept pumping the high balls down the middle to Beck who had a hard duel against their back line. The ref gave him no help after being fouled many times. Poor 1st half and slightly better 2nd half keeping the crowd quiet. There seemed more action behind the top goal between spectators than on the pitch. Where was our chanters in the 1st half when we needed them and only got going when alongside their supporters. We needed 3 points today and Tuesday to get us back up into the push for promotion but we were let down by poor tactics. Lets hope it’s put right on Tuesday.

Yesterday, it was quite obvious Dagenham had no intentions of having a go at us, and quite rightly Garage, they were only interested in a point, which unfortunately they nicked in the dieing seconds. It was like a game of chess due to there tactics, basically getting almost all behind the ball inviting us to try break them down. This I’m sure accounted for the atmosphere being quite low key for Harrogates standards. Still, we did have chances to finish them off, including a fine effort from Millers, which hit a post and came back out. Fine margins, as we all know. Keep going boys, Tuesday now is vital we get x3 points. You’ve been superb all the season, and I’m sure just like us supporters you want to be in the play-offs. You deserve to be, so go out Tuesday, play with freedom, and your rewards will come. Proud to be Town.

Agree they crowded their defence looking for a draw until we scored.
In the last 10-15 minutes they showed also that they had some attacking prowess as well and knocked us off our perch! Of course they wouldn't have managed that pressure all game, though.
We'll probably get a lot of tight matches like this as the business end of the season is with us and we need a better chance conversion rate than we have been achieving recently.

Fwiw i think Thompson's corners have been a bit lacking recently - several yesterday went straight to their keeper ! Emmett, as he proved a couple of years ago, and now in his new 'wing type' role can cross well (even under pressure) from the corner flag - so i think he should be given the chance to take the corners on his side.
