Game played like a practice game with town resting several players. Wonder if we would have scored 5 goals when at full strength. Also wondering what the manager has learnt from this game about some players . Noticed Kennedy not on the team sheet- strange? Has he been binned?
Agnew had a very tidy game- Thewlis now injured- Toby Lees had his rare outing and did nothing wrong- Kerry had his usual decent game- keeper had nothing to do-
dont think any of them will be in 1st 11 next Sunday-
Knowles got 5 goals but i thought he didn’t play particularly well.
Quiet on the terraces generally because not a lot was happening . We could have done with more action especially in 2nd half to keep us awake.
We will certainly have to play more uptempo next Sunday. Nearly forgot to congratulate the team on scoring 100 league goals and a goal difference of over 50.

Strange assessment Garage considering it was a dead rubber. You weren’t expecting Harrogate to go hung-ho surely? Was great the ‘fringe playets’ Got a run and not one let us down. One thing I do agree with is your comment about Dom, strange when he’s just bagged 5 goals. If it’s action your looking for, get ready for next Sunday.

Very well done Town - and Dom especially. A question for the statisticians - who was the last player to score five goals for us in a match?

Phil Harrrison's official history (page 584) lists Malcolm Wadddington in 1960-61. However, Peter Foxton went one better in Town's all time record 13-0 win in 1968-69. Arthur Stanley is the only player to have scored 7 goals in 1938-39. Dom seems to be only the 11th player to have scored 5 or more goals in a match.

Peter Foxton still attends home matches now. Believe he once walked off during a game for some reason. That 13-0 game was against a team who arrived short of players and rumour has it that their bus driver played.
