Poor performance today -typical end of season nothing to play for game spoilt by the wind. Goal keeper error for their 1st goal he was too far off his line as usual for the free kick on a windy day. Their 2nd goal was against the run of play. We had a few reasonable chances in 2nd half but never looked like it would ever go in the net.
Looks like injuries to Thanoj and Turner will affect Mondays team selection. Wonder where Agnew was today?

Can’t knock the effort of the players for the majority of the season!
The full-time announcement during the season was always going to affect the attitude of some of the players at some point!
We are used to seeing players at Harrogate Town “booking their holidays in” before the end of the season because we don’t usually have anything to play for at this time of year!
And sadly the stats prove it when you look back at them over the years!!!
The question now is how many of the current squad would be “good enough” to play Full-Time football with another club?

Signing the right players to play Full-Time is going to play a critical part in any chance we have of being successful on the pitch next season!
And learning what type of football on the pitch is required to get out of this league!!!!!!!
There are a lot of clubs in this league now in better “catchment areas” for players than us, willing to pay out plenty of ££££ for good players!

Our best hope is to find some of the talented young players released by league clubs in May or June. Many will be desperate to stay full time and keep their dream of a football career alive. Yorkshire isn't a bad catchment area after all. A few more players like Agnew would be great. Oh, and resign Michael Woods!

That’s exactly what Stalybridge Celtic did when they went Full-Time!!!!!
    Too many youngsters!
    Shocked
You have to be prepared to pay enough experienced full time players who still have the legs to help out any youngsters you do have, to have a good enough side now to get you out of this league!!!!
But which of these experienced players would want to drop down and play in a regional league?

Fair point BL, I'd forgotten about Stalybridge. It's a tough league, and pretty physical at times, need a few guys who have been there and done it. Maybe money will talk?
