It's far to early to talk of must win games but the next 2 against Gainsborough and BPA should be bankers if we want to mount a serious promotion push. It's also an opportunity for other players to stake a claim and put one hell of a shift in.

Re: Gainsborough away
Trinity really are doing badly. According to our Official site, they are 23rd, in a 22 team league. Now that's what you call a disappointing start to the season! Seriously tho', if we mean business about promotion (and I assume we do) we should be winning tonight, and probably Saturday as well. Real chance for Chib and JPP to show what they can do. Need Colbeck to start as well.

Got to happen. No disrespect intended to either opposition team but these should be bread and butter games all week long. Not sure Gainsborough even know the season has started yet

Re: Gainsborough away
We were strong favourites to win at BPA last season - result BPA 3 v 0 Harrogate T (or was it 3-1? Anyway the point is made!)
Let's hope Chib can turn the tables on them on Saturday - from memory he scored 2 for BPA last season)

Strong attacking lineup tonight. Let's see who stakes a claim for the shirt on a more permanent basis. Got to be 3 pts tonight. Hoping to see both JP and Chib getting on the score sheet and a clean one at the back.

0-2 to town, Kerry and JP on the score sheet. Looking promising. Need to show maturity and manage the game out, couple more goals, clean sheet and no bookings or injuries. Job done

Re: Gainsborough away
On their performance last night Gainsboro will be relegated. We were still not good. We should be getting more goals against poor opposition like them. As i keep saying something is wrong with the way we are playing. Pittman still needs to be more of a presence in the game for me but he took his goal very well.Leesly needs about 6 attemps before we see a decent cross that gets to someone. Chib put a good shift in with one near miss.Far too many big punts upfield again going nowhere then coming straight back again. For me another dissapointing night.

Chorley 3-0 BPA last night.
BPA saving themselves for Saturday no doubt.

Re: Gainsborough away
More than happy with the result. Got to instill a winning mentality which on occasions will be job done games. JP took his goal well which will boost his confidence, Kerry can't seem to do much wrong (except the occasional tackle straight out of HMP Full Sutton) and we march on. Same again against BPA on Saturday and then compound Nuneatons dire start to the season after that.
Other than Altrincham setting up wrong or kopping injuries, sounds like flyde are going to take some stopping. Important we keep taking the points and staying in the pack. Really want to take 6 pts off flyde this season!

Re: Gainsborough away
I thought Altrincham were an average team at most last Saturday. We were not at our best and injuries disrupted us to some degree.
Last night's result at Moss Lane suggests I was right and nothing will stop Fylde winning the league this season.

2nd in the league and looking good.We have played 4 of the bottom 6 sides so far ,so at what level we really are at might be misleading.Whats worrying is apart from last night, we seem to picking up injuries at an alarming rate.Yes its a 20 man squad, but key players missing at this rate will take its toll.Hope I'm totally wrong with this theory..

Re: Gainsborough away
Sounded a good match, good goals and must say has been brilliant having the improved media stuff going live so far, goals at half time, interviews being able to see You tube match highlights etc.
Anyone know of an injury update as yet?
We have played seemingly some of the more ‘charitable’ teams so far but we can only beat what is put in front of us. The Halifax game against the Shay Lemons will be a great benchmark. Will be their game of the season for them know they have found their level again, so will be bang up for it especially having beaten them at their other ground 1-0 last season……..
