WINNING THE LEAGUE
I THINK WITH A BIT OF LUCK WE CAN WIN THE TITLE AWAY AT FYLDE WHICH WOULD BE A CRAZY GAME AND I REALLY HOPE WE CAN GET AT LEAST 3 COACHES FOR THAT.

Re: WINNING THE LEAGUE
Cannot really see us catching Solihull.its not going to happen, alas. But Boston losing is good for us, and Tamworth dropped two points Surely 5 from 6 now. With two legged SF does not really matter where we finish, so the play offs are ours to lose now.

Re: WINNING THE LEAGUE
Two legged semi's ...yes.
But the Final is a one-off at the ground of the highest placed club so finishing second is a priority. Would be a fantastic crowd and atmosphere if the Final was here.

Re: WINNING THE LEAGUE
Going to take a phenomenal run in from us with no slip ups and something akin to an injury/suspension/Ebola outbreak at Solihull to have us cracking the champagne before season ends!

Re: WINNING THE LEAGUE
The fact that any team can beat anyone in this league means it is far to early to say but just look at Telford and Stockport hitting some good form. I would be more than happy with a 2nd place finish to secure a final (should we get there) at the CNG. In a way I actually want to experience the playoffs, I reckon we could get a few thousand at home and the atmosphere would be amazing.

No thanks I'd rather win it and go watch the play offs and maybe partake in a few sherbets

Re: WINNING THE LEAGUE
Yep. Agree with Tommy. Much rather win it outright then put my feet up to watch everyone else sweat it out in the play offs. Football can be too variable with things out of your control like sendings off etc, plus my nerves are shot watching now, so play offs will see me right over the edge!

Re: WINNING THE LEAGUE
Here here surplus win our games in hand it's 3 points good chance of make up the goal difference too. Solihull WILL lose 1 before end of the season. Can we not get beat from now till the end. I say yes.

Re: WINNING THE LEAGUE
Must confess I kind of agree with trevdee, the excitement of (possibly) two play off games at the CNG would be awesome, couple of thousand fans in there for sure. Mind you automatic promotion wouldn't be too bad either...I could live with it! Imagine the trophy being presented in front of the Main Stand (or, maybe, the Kop of Fear), sends shivers down the spine. Just really can't see Solihull slipping up.

Re: WINNING THE LEAGUE
Championship all day long albeit I would imagine we will end up in the play offs which would be a remarkable achievement.
Tamworth away tomorrow is huge and I think will give a good bearing on where we will end up.

Re: WINNING THE LEAGUE
Feel free to quote me on this but Solihull will not win this league. They were very lucky on Monday against curzon when a dubious red card sent curzon down to 10 and a draw would've been a fair result on sat v Gainsborough From what I've heard.

Re: WINNING THE LEAGUE
Quoting you is not enough Tommy! I want to see full on hat eating (and quite possibly a town scarf for seconds) in the centre circle as the half time entertainment for penance if Solihull slither across the line ahead of us! If Town win, I'll eat a cheese and onion pasty! What say you!

Re: WINNING THE LEAGUE
After tonight.s disappointing result, whilst its not impossible to win the league outright its now more likely we are going for a top play off place. Not going to be easy but we are still OK.Every play off team will suffer defeats going into the final weeks.Massive game Saturday against Telford a game we really need to win...And a game they need points to survive.
Lets hope for a great turn out against Telford and hopefully 3 points.

Best buckle up for a bumpy ride. What's with all the red cards we're suddenly getting?

Re: WINNING THE LEAGUE
Disappointing but we were always going to lose games before the fat lady started singing. Fylde won too so a poor night, but we have had plenty of good ones. Still second! I think it puts hopes of the title to bed, never could really believe that anyway. Saturday really big though, we shall see what we are made of. Ironically just come back from watching Great Expectations at the Playhouse. More on Saturday please!

Re: WINNING THE LEAGUE
The ref was an absolute disgrace along with Daniels who should have been taken off after about 20 mins. He has not been playing well for some time and did not look in the right frame of mind. Silly Kerry was booked for kicking the ball away and for not committing a foul by the little Hitler ref . Very strange decision to bring Gascoinge on and it did not work.Kerrys mistake led to the goal - hes been caught with the ball several times this season which have led to goals against us but still he had a good game. The management team need to ask themselves how they got this game so wrong - we did not play much football with too many long balls again . Knowles did not look interested when he came on - another strange decision to bring someone on who needs games with another team to bring him up to match fittness. What a poor night!

Re: WINNING THE LEAGUE
I had an inkling that we might lose this game. I think that having the game postponed (nothing can be done about that) interrupted our flow and momentum. We will be back on Saturday.
