Great result - not such a good 1st half but second half we had the best of it - Cesc made a big difference as did Paul Clayton but MOM IMO was the rock that is Danny Ellis - top class performance by an absolute top notch team player. Another great set piece from Brendan. Loads of scope for improvement but bearing in mind we had a number of players coming back from injury - Ryan, Jack, - a happy return to Yorkshire though accidents going and coming back - deaths involved so let's just be thankful. Great support again - wel done to you all.

I am in the union (ie. referee's) and I didn't think he had a bad game bar the inexplicable decision to book Brendan instead of award a penalty - I wasn't in the best position to see, but spoke with all our fans at the end of the game who were within 10 yards of the offence and they were open mouthed as to how it was not given.Shocked Shocked Shocked

Well, great week-end in the Lakes (Keswick), made perfect by Town's (lets be honest) slightly fortunate win the FA Cup. Weather was great, some excellent sight-seeing and meals (best B and B breakfasts I think I have ever had), I even fitted in a round of pitch and putt golf!

As for the match, well, I have to say I thought we were frankly terrible in the first half. They came at us from the start, gave us no time and clearly rattled us. They played some nice passing football as well. 0 - 0 flattered us at half time, and I feared the worst. Don't know what Simon said at half time, but it must have worked, because we dominated the second half, altho', again to be fair, did not create many chances. It certainly looked like a penalty to me, but these things happen so fast, its hard to be sure. Emmett should have scored, and it was good to see Ryan back in the side. But, once again, we relied on a Daniels thunderbolt to rescue us. Can't keep doing that guys!

Lovers of old style football grounds would have loved Borough Park, echoes of former days and Division Four games in the 1970's. Can hardly have changed since. Very enjoyable Seaturday evening followed (as you can imagine), fish and chip supper and a glass or two.

Now we await the next round draw...we MUST be at home otherwise I shall stamp my feet very loudly!!
