Long trip for a Bank Holiday local Derby match today!
Normally a night match this one so travelling up in daylight will be a novelty & one of the most scenic trips of the season.
The regulars will be there today still though.
    Smile
    Come on Town!

Weather is great here in Leeds at the moment, wish I was a driver, I'd be on the way to Workington now! Lets hope we get a win and Adam Baker grabs us a goal! Certainly plan to be at Altrincham Saturday.

First half we were good for our 1-0 lead, Baker had a great first half, showed some great touches, went on a couple of good runs and tore their defenders to pieces to set up the first goal. In all the football wasn't perfect in the first half but we defiantly edged it with Workington having a couple of half chances. Chibs struggled a little against their big number 5, perhaps he needs game time playing up front.

Second half and they started very well, they really piled on the pressure and I thought they deserved their equalizer. For about 20 minutes we soaked up a fair bit of pressure but then started to get it togethor and counter attacked them very well. We seemed to steady the ship and create a number of chances but it felt like we were never going to score, and I actually felt they would grab a winner. Then another counter attack and Baker gets a chance who strikes bottom corner....Seems like we have signed a gem, lets hope until the end of season!!

Quite a strange game, the pitch was nice and I thought Bolder would lead the way and take control. He seemed like he was working off the turkey though, really lethargic and quite a few of his passes today went a stray. Luke Dean has defiantly lost his form, Elam played well, the back four did well and my star man today was Samuels. Apart from been out of position for the goal he really snuffed out any threats from what I thought was a tricky left winger.

Anyway I'm really pleased with a win, when we could have quite easily crumbled so a very good day for the Town!!

Sounds like a good win yesterday, and great that Baker scored. The league table looks very interesting now...12th and loads of games in hand of most teams and lots of home games (hopefully!) still to come. Altrincham big test on Saturday, a draw there would be great.
