The Administrator of Farsley Celtic Football Club Limited has verbally confirmed to the Board of the Football Conference, following the withdrawal of a potential purchaser of the Club it has not been possible to complete a sale. There being insufficient funds coming into the Club, the Throstle's Nest Ground has been closed. Farsley Celtic's fixture against Stalybridge Celtic on Saturday 5th September 2009 has been postponed. The longer term future of the Club will be considered by the Conference Board when more detailed information is received from the Administrator.

Pretty happy they got a reprieve !!! Now my boxing day trip is back on

They were locked out of the ground on Thursday and the reprieve happened at 5 o'clock yesterday.

It is only a temporary reprieve whilst the administrators mull over an offer made. When the administrators accept the offer, the creditors are paid and Farsley are back in control of their own affairs is the time to celebrate.
