If memory serves we played them in 2009 pre season and drew 5-5 with Warren Burrell scoring a 25 yard lob.

Enjoyed it today. Some people say Pre-Season results don't matter. But lets be serious we should have won that near enough a full strength side and when Guiseley are thrasing their opposition 8-0 today. But I guess Weaver was trying some new things out.
Was impressed with Lee Bishop aswell.

Yes it was 1-1 Alan White scoring for Town with a thunder-shot from outside the box.

Enjoyable game I thought for pre-season. they usually get very ragged in the second half (loads of subs etc.), this didn't. Good points: Dwayne Samuels looks excellent, as did the number 4. the first half number 11, less good in my view. There is no doubt that the second half team was better than the first: always seems to get more urgency when Elam, Radcliffe etc. come on.

Downside (and yes I know its first game, pre-season and all that), drawing 1-1 with a level 6 team, ain't too good really. As as has been said Guiseley put 8 past similar (better?) opposition.

One clear message: we desperately need that 20 goal a season striker: our only goal was from a defender, and we made lots of second half chances, did not take any of them. I can really see us struggling to score goals this season unless Simon addresses this issue.

Nice ground now by the way.

Agreed. We do need a decent proven striker, maybe even a League 2 loan signing?

I dont think that Jonny Allan or Chib Chilaka are the 20 goal a season players, and Liam Hardy is not cut out for this level.

I hope you have an Ace Card up your sleeve Weaver, because you will need it if you think Allan, Chib or Liam are up to it.
