I appreciate the dilemma, and I guess a player earning a lot more than others could prove aproblem in the dressing room, lets hope Simon can find us an 18/20 goal a season man on reasonable money! Unfortunately the strikers we have signed from lower leagues (Hardy etc.) havn't really 'done it' at BSN level. And lack of goals from midfield potentially a problem. Still its close season so lets be optimistic...I like the look of the squad so far.

I would suggest a season long loan signing from either a BSP or a League 2 club. Maybe even a reserve striker from a higher league?
I dont think we should be bringing anyone in from a lower league than the BSN/BSS personally. I would like to see Ryan Kendall back. If he was given a run in the team, he would be your 18-20 goals a season man. Graeme Armstrong also. But in order for a striker to score 20 goals a season, he needs a run of games in the team. And that is something we havent seen last season.

Couldn't agree more there. We can't be gambling on the success of a striker from a lower league than our own, Weaver says he won't be held ransom, but he's got to spend some serious money if he wants a 20 goal a season striker, which is what we need. Still hopefull for next season, I'm confident that we can do much better than we did this season, come on town!
