Well it would have been a trip to Chelmsford today if we had managed a cup run!!!!!
With Bishop Stortford @ home Tuesday night it emphasises how this leagues boundaries have changed since it first started!!!
The cost of travelling to away games has put fans off going & this combined with the performances on the pitch over recent years has killed our away support!

Maybe being in the Eve-Stik Premier for 2 or 3 years would not be the worst idea in the world! Hopefully we would be more successful (?), there would be less distance to travel to away games etc. The fan base might have a chance to be rebuilt. I'm not advocating relegation (i like the 'prestige' of being in the Conference), merely saying that it would not be an absolute disaster. At the moment you've got Chester, FC United, BPA, Northwich Vics etc. Quite a tasty league. Still if we stay up this year, we could have BPA back in the Conference, giving us three local derbies (assuming Guiseley don't go up).
To all and intents and purposes, the Blue Square North is now a de facto national league.

PS: Need a result today BADLY Exclamation

Taken from the Gloucester City match report which seems a bit different the one on the club site

"The win, over a team with a budget rumoured to be four times that of the Tigers, moves City up to 13th in the Blue Square Bet North."

    Four times?

    Eh?

    Read all about it

Yup, see my other post. Even if this is an exaggeration its a sorry state of affairs. No goals in 270 minutes of play etc. etc. etc. Bishops Stortford will be rubbing their hands together with glee Embarassed

No goals in 3 games!! Could that be because when we get it in the opposition half then it goes right to left then left to right. We need a midfielder or possibly a striker that sits in front of the midfield to be able to push the ball forward!
