Should be an interesting game tonight, Shaw Lane from Barnsley have just had 2 promotions in a row and are expected to be challenging for promotion into our league next season. Their manager is ex town centre forward Craig Elliott, their assistant manager is ex town manager John Reed. Chib Chilaka recently signed for them along with ex Altrincham forward Damian Reeves.
After playing a team featuring 8 trialist's against Farsley Celtic Wednesday evening it's fully expected Town will play a strong team tonight at the CNG Stadium.

Well that was a major disappointment after the hartlepool game. We don't seem to have a big commanding c/half and its not working up front. Is it time for Ainge to be back there? Never noticed Leesley in 2nd half .
The goal they got from the free kick was against the smallest wall i can remember us having. Looks like we'll finish just above relegation on that performance. Think Shaw Lane could have a good season on their performance tonight.

That wall was hilarious. Guineas Book of Records contender. Actually enjoyed the game, really entertaining. Yes, time for Ainge to move back. Lightening ain't striking twice Simon! Falkingham has to be close to the best player I have ever seen (in 20 odd years) at the CNG. Anyone else agree? Not despondent, Shaw Lane are darn good, and we played some excellent football first half.

    Agree.
    Also noticed...
We beat Hartlepool and we are contenders.
Six days later we draw with Shaw Lane and we are relegation candidates.
    Knee jerk or what!!!

The Shaw Lane game was more feisty a game and more like a league game and gave a truer reflection on our teams chances this season. The Hartlepool game was a typical friendly game apart from the 2 Fallowfield tackles which maybe have got him sent off in a league game. It's obvious now we need the c/forward and c/half problems sorting plus we are very small

And I was patently wrong about Ainge not being able to repeat his goal scoring feat's again. 6 in 4 games! Who needs Danny Rowe.
