The Wetherby News, as part of the Harrogate Advertiser group, has traditionally given quite extensive reports and news coverage of Harrogate Town. Having missed Saturday's match due to ill health, I was particularly keen to see today's edition. To my considerable annoyance (having paid £1-50) and disappointment there is not a single word about the match or Town. It looks as if coverage of Town has been sacrificed to a recently introduced feature page on Leeds United. I note that the News still finds space for a whole page on Harrogate's rugby union team. The Harrogate Advertiser is not readily available at my local paper shop so I would be interested to know about its coverage of Town this week and generally. There is a serious side to this. If the club is to increase its support it needs to do so from the whole of its pretty extensive catchment area not just the town itself. This looks like a job for the Head of Communications - unless of course someone tells me he is responsible for a breakdown in communication with the local press!

Re: Local newspaper coverage
Not bad coverage, but not as good as when Ed White was there. The new guy hasn't really found his individual voice yet
