Town V Worcester City thread
Anybody as excited as I am about this game? Thoughts on line up? Score prediction? Formation?

Re: Town V Worcester City thread
Bolder for Nelthorpe hopefully. Maybe Hall for Southwell, I'm interested to see how Hall and Hardy play together, a target man and poacher, respectively. Also, a continuation of Bolder, Merris and Mitchells smart interplay that we witnessed in the 2nd half would be good. Same formation/system probably, but I don't do score predictions, they are nigh impossible!!

I think it will be 2-0 to town. Just can't see them losing this one.

It's got to be done, sooner rather than later in my opinion, whilst Hardy is banging them in.silent stu wrote: Maybe Hall for Southwell, I'm interested to see how Hall and Hardy play together

Hall surely has to come back, Southwell too lightweight I'm afraid. Bolder should start as well. TownUltras team looks spot on. I'll be disappointed if its anything different.

Re: Town V Worcester City thread
Southwell only came for a month we defiantly need to look at building the Hall/Hardy combo for the good of the season........Hall had a poor first touch and won little headers on Monday but came good towards the end of the game...He needs match practise without a doubt lets get him on against weaker opposition so he is ready for the sterner tests coming up (Southwell will be gone then, we don't want to throw Hall into the cauldron with no match practise).

Simon may decide to extend Southwells' Youth loan? I think he has done quite well since he has come, but i'm not sure on the rules surrounding youth loans?

No disrespect to the lad, he is not a bad player by any means, but has seemed a bit lightweight to me. Still would like to see the Hall/Hardy combo in action.

Re: Town V Worcester City thread
Hi everyone, I cannot wait for tomorrow. Bringing down a couple of Harrogate based Leeds fans to appreciate what is on their doorstep as my guests. A bit of buffet for them, cheap pint for me, thank you Ged, a win and it will put us back on track. Top six in January and stay there for the play offs.
I cannot wait to host my mates as they are football mad and a good experience will be told to at least 10 of their mates.
If we could all entice them type of fellas down, we grow.
As fans, lets keep talking it up. Buy a simple pin batch and getting out there and promote things.
Good Luck Town tomorrow.
The Toronto/Canadian head of our supporters club will be at next weeks match, my dad. Make him welcome !!!!!!! He is over for the rest of the season. Good commitment that.
See you tomorrow
OOH TOWN

Re: Town V Worcester City thread
So a big day today. You feel that if we can get an early goal or two then it could be an avalanche so really important that we get the team going. They have lost their club capt this week Tom Thorley (to Hednesford!) so will try and come and prove a point. This is not a gimme game they will be tight and well organised, they don't score many on paper but also don't concede many. My only worry is our players need to be up for it, every game is difficult in this league if they're complacent we could be in trouble. We seem to be able to turn up for the big teams but sometimes don't for periods with the mid table and lower table clubs. Really important that we do make some atmosphere today. Let's get the boys going and smash them.
COME ON YOU YELLOWS!

Re: Town V Worcester City thread
This league is so even. I thought Worcester looked pretty good today, 2 excellent saves by craig. Credit to Town, not at their best but stuck with it. Rowe created lots of problems when he came on. Looked much more shaped with 2 strikers up front 2nd half. Would love to see Hall and Hardy or Worsfold together more often. Great that Worsfold and Rowe scored great confidence boost.
Random results out there Oxford hammered Stockport 4 1, Gainsboro beat BPA 4 2, Solihull drew at home with Workington. Ominously Boston, Telford keep winning. Haven't seen table but must be top 10 now.
Need to keep this going. Great time to play BPA next week, Fa trophy run would be great.

Re: Town V Worcester City thread
Yep there are no pushovers this season thats for sure...
Good day today, started with some nice food thanks to the supporters club a cheap pint and Simon saying a few words, then another win caps it off.
Not the greatest of performances but its another win..I thought Nelthorpe (apart from dwelling on the ball a couple of times) played very well and was my MOM, just a shame he can't do it every week at the moment. Considering we had our 2 main centre backs out and lost Adam and Samuels at H/T we coped quite well. One thing though, the team are looking hungry again and thats got a be a huge positive!

Re: Town V Worcester City thread
Just a few thoughts.. the pitch held up well today, we can put last season behind us,now!
Thought the first half was evenly balanced, Worcester were never going to be pushovers - their defence is not bad, they just don't score many! Without Killock and Franks, I thought we might struggle, but the first half was even, with us having the best of it by a small margin. Nowakowski and Samuels were obviously in trouble, so on came Hall and Rowe! this is when the strength of the squad becomes evident. What a second half!!! Hardy was not comfortable today, so subbed for Worsfold. Hall was great, his break led to the first goal from Worsfold - well taken, their sub goalie had only been on the field a minute!
Wonder save from McGillivray............hope we can keep him for the rest of the season! Then Dom shows his class! Result!
Anyone know why we're playing Bradford on Tuesday?

They contacted us saying they have a few guys back from injury so rather than train they wanted a practise game.

Super win - well done the squad! My twin brother came with two young town fanatical supporters and they enjoyed the supporters club meal - we'll be sending out some glossy fliers to every school and college in Harrogate and York area to promote the game on 14th Dec - I'll be up for that one!
