110% effort, runs forever and always puts in a tackle - will be a great signing for you. A real fans favourite and a genuine nice man who has time for everyone.

The club have gone back to being part time as from next season, but I believe Anton was part time anyway as I'm pretty sure he works in sports education, so I can't see that being the reason

So its nothing to do with him not being good enough? If not thats brilliant for us!!

Thanks Bedders, sounds like we have signed a bit of a gem...wonder if we just were able to offer him more money?

Absolutely not - he's risen through every division with Alfreton and never been found wanting.

He probably got to a stage where he fancied a new challenge and saw lots of potential in Harrogate.

I do remember the season a few years back when Alfreton won the BSN they were a huge solid team, very direct, not particularly pretty but very effective. I remember thinking at the time, we could do with a couple of their solid players, guess we have one now. I for one am very very happy because if you get a solid spine you are half way there.

MacGillivray, White, Samuels, Nelthorpe, Merris, Killock, Brown, Woods and Bolder. That spine is rock solid in my opinion, and one of the best in the BSN/BSP.

I'm hoping that the Strikers follow suit. These signings will indicate how much intent there is, and if signing Brown and Nelthorpe are anything to go by. I'm very hopeful.
