Colin Larkin has been signed up by Simon. Statement of intent me thinks. Colin has loads of football league experience and could be the spark that ignites our push for the play offs. COME ON TOWN!!

Re: New striker signed
According to stats never been a prolific goalscorer but we have Knowles for that...I'm sure with his pedigree and all round experience he is just what we need as long as he isn't played in right mid!

Good to see an Irish man join town. Have we had many Irish players over the years if any?

Re: New striker signed
That is a pretty big statement of intent, and a signing that will make the other teams around us in the BSN realize that we are no longer a 'tin-pot' club (that comment from the Halifax fan has really annoyed me....)
I look forward to seeing what he can do. Larkin and Knowles up front?? Who would have thought that at the start of the season!! I just wonder why Colin Larkin has decided to step down to semi-pro level.
Congratulations to Simon on getting him in, and Irving for making it possible, as without him, we wouldn't be where we are today.

Re: New striker signed
Well come next season he may well have not dropped a level....Weaver obviously shared future plans with him and he liked what he saw.........Perhaps we pipped Halifax to his signature ha, they obviously couldn't offer any future plans!

Re: New striker signed
Usually when a signing likw this is made its one in one out. Who do you think is being moved ob? Can't be a centre half. can it. Nothing on the club website.

Re: New striker signed
well I would favour Beesley over Chibs, however we are forgetting we have the useless Allen in the squad...He must be on a pretty packet too!

Re: New striker signed
A lot of strikers now on board. Knowles, Chib, Beesley, Larkin, Hardy. Allen Allen must be the most vulnerable, and, much as I like Hardy and appreciate the struggles he has had with injury, I think he is going to struggle to get a place above the other four. Certainly an exciting signing, and (once again) credit to Simon (and Irving?) in persuading quality players to sign for us.
