In past seasons Reevesie would have been a threat to us but it seems he's not now an automatic first choice and doesn't always get a start these days. Recently just on the bench. Hope he doesn't come back to haunt us though.

Hey guys, your boss has done a good job of motivating us today by calling our pitch ' difficult'. Must be because it's not plastic like yours

This really was no criticism of your pitch it was just a reference to the amount of rain we've had this week.
We won't need to bother about your pitch next year anyway.

Well, it's a good enough pitch for Man United reserves and Under 18's to play on, one of the best in the league. And it's grass. Not sure how he could say it's difficult without seeing it first, but thanks for being the only team in the league who've not beaten us this season . Safe trip home

Well didn't go, but 0-0 sounds like a defeat to me. Unless we beat Darlo next week our slim hopes of the play offs will have gone. Not good enough anyway, let's he honest.

    Positives:
We didn't lose against bottom of the table team
    Ellis is a real stalwart
    Ainge for continuing despite injury
    Negatives:
We didn't win against bottom of the league team
Midfield very mediocre - took it in turns to go missing at different points in the game
    Still unimpressed by Parker
Boom ball is still turgid tripe, particularly when there is not even a positive outcome to make it worth while

Well what a load of crap. The midfield must wonder why they are there when the ball just is thumped up to the front 2.Thought it might be different under Thirlwell but it's getting worse .The number of head injuries today was possibly due to the ball being in the air more than on the ground. It was 2 very poor sides playing no football.
With the games we have coming up this is possibly the last point we will get for a while.

Just what do they do in training!!!
It beggars belief what we saw today.
Next season they are full time to train and play to them tactics

Question - is it worth trying to sign Reeves for next season? A proven goalscorer/poacher - might be what we need to put the chances we create away. Was only on the pitch for ten minutes today and is not getting much of a chance at a team heading for relegation.

I noticed we had 4 midfielders on the bench today and no strikers. Thats worrying when we're relying on two strikers - one of whom was injured . Day & Chib out on loan. Don't know how long Pittmans out. Have we got any reinforcements?

If you woke from a coma today and went to the match and was told 1 side is pushing for the playoffs, and the other is adrift at the bottom of the league, would you of been able to tell who was who? NO!

Just watched Simons post match interview and to quote Trump it's fake interview- if that's truly what he thinks we've no chance.

Lots of talk about next season and playing for contracts - if we play the same style of football we have go used to as the season has gone on and keep the same squad members, surely we are going to get the same outcome - underachievement? Something's got to change. I know which I would prefer to change - the former. Plus, as an advocate of young players, would like to see a smattering of youngsters used properly to supplement the team and some risks taken to allow them to flourish by giving them a proper chance. They add a different dimension, give an energy and come in with another style of football, ie. playing the ball! Instead, we bring them in as a cheap stop gap measure to cover injuries, then they are not really given a chance and so any potential is thrown away.

The truth of the matter is, weaver could have the best premier league X1 and still struggle to get them playing for him. It is just something we have to accept as part of this Weaver package, we are stuck with a manager who is pure tonk.

I wasn't at the Alty game so can't comment on that however reading other comments it sounds like the faithful travelling fans were conned again out of their hard earned money.

Past seasons I have been home and away, week in, week out and this season right from the first few games my enthusiasm and appetite to watch Harrogate just isn't there. That is down to a combination of things - the match day experience, mr communicator, Plant, pitch changes, football served, security. In my eyes the club is moving in an ugly direction, there is no room for the regular Harrogate town fan anymore (the locals), instead they want the corporate do gooders, the army cadets and whoever else they can bribe to attend.

Enough is enough I am hanging up my Town boots and going to find a real club where they serve up football on a grass pitch, let you enjoy the matchday experience and have a manager that is accountable!!

If Wenger leaves in the summer, I think Simon will become perhaps the longest serving manager in the top 6 divisions ( the guy at Exeter might run him close). His limitations are obvious, and we will never progress until his dad bites the bullet, which he won't do, so we are stuck presumably for ever in an endless cycle of hope and inevitable disappointment. Everyone knows this except the one guy who could change it. I will keep going (love the club), but year after year of this gets demoralising.

It is what it is @ TOWN!
The reality for Non-League Football Clubs around this area wanting to play in a National League is pretty stark!

    Farsley Celtic AFC
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

    Scarborough FC
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

    Halifax Town FC

    Darlington FC
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

    FC Halifax Town
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

York City, Guiseley, North Ferriby United
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

As other local sides have found out its tough going playing & surviving in a National Football League!!!
I think we are still building the foundations on & off the field to have a chance of promotion out of this league & a chance of survival in the next league!
As well as results on the pitch, increasing our core support level over the next few years will play a major part in increasing our chances of doing this!
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

If you’re not well run behind the scenes as well as on the pitch & have no money behind you, you’ve no chance!

I agree with every word of this. But managers matter (cf: Danny Cowley at Lincoln!). Our manager isn't a bad manager by any means, but after 7 years(!), surely his limitations have been revealed. Everything BL says is spot on, we just need some fresh thinking in the dug out!
