On 19th April we take on Bradford Park Avenue in the West Riding County Cup Final at Valley Parade, Bradford. The Supporters Club are running a coach to this game which will depart the CNG at 17:30. Prices are as follow:-

I would imagine that we will have up to ten changes from Saturday because of injuries and more important games to come. Bradford are safe now and will probably put out their first team.

Who is the one who you think will start from Saturday TF? Beesley?

I would imagine Fallowfield, Worrell and Cadman will all start.

Coates. I think that Shiels and Hearn might also be involved.

I would think that Coates will start as he didn't play for Railway yesterday.

Good game played on a unbelievable bad surface.From a distance looked great,be it very sandy yet the ball seemed to jump up every time you played on the deck.Like BPA we played a much weakened team and rightly so, with Fylde Saturday.Thought Shiels did ok with Foster at the back.Thought Thewlis looked poor, maybe lacking in confidence.Having watched Gascoigne a number of times now is he the same player of old?(never saw him last season).All in all a good work out for all the fringe and some 1st team players.Thought Joe and Clayt's made a massive difference when the came on.

So we ended up making eleven changes to last Saturday's game. Agree with above, awful pitch and where did that referee come from?
Glad that we gave the young lads a chance, we have used this non-event competition over the last few seasons to blood our Academy players and long may that continue.
Whether we make the play-offs/get promoted tonight's selection was right.
Congratulations to BPA though.

The most worrying thing to me is seeing Gascoigne being a changed character. He looks as though he is going to get sent off most games . He is being played further forword than he used to be and its not suiting his style of play. He should be playing a deeper role and breaking forword when we attack.The game last night was played on a poor surface and a premiership ball which made life difficult for both sets of players.The ball was too light for all players and did not produce a good spectacle.

The result was a fair one, but for the 20 minutes we played the ball on the deck, we were the better team and had we played the other 75 minutes like that, the outcome might have been very different. Instead we played their game and just boomed it high and long. Nevertheless, all credit to a very young and/ or recuperating team. It may have been a ' non event ' competition for some, but for some of the lads playing it held importance and they gave their all. Well done to them.

BPA didn't play a weakened side - only chib and beard man not playing. We did well.

Let them have the tinpot cup against our u21's........Onwards with our march to the playoffs!! And yes poor pitch but still luxury for BPA!
