Gritty win today. Thought we were in trouble when they scored. Sloppy goal to concede. Credit to Town though they battled well and I thought deserved the 3 points by the final whistle. Fair play to them.

Reminds me of before Christmas when we had that dreadful run then got a draw and went on a great run. We are hopefully going to do the same after drawing with Telford. Great win yesterday and can hopefully continue this run into the BPA game.

Going 1-0 down yesterday was a really good test of our mettle. When you see us go behind away from home you just presume we'll end up losing. Maybe we've turned over a new leaf! The tough sequence of games coming up after Ossett Albion should give us all the answers.

Went to the game yesterday and would make the following observations:

Not sure about the Non League Paper 1st 20 minutes "both sides knocking the ball around well" as it seemed to be who can kick the most balls out of the ground affraid  affraid

Their first attack of note and Killer (not Matt Heath!) failed to judge the flight of the ball and they went 1-0 up - after this we enjoyed a lot of possesion but no real end result until Ash poached the equaliser following a top quality move down the left wing involving 3-4 players.

They came out the strongest in the early part of the second half but after the initial 10 minutes we dominated possession and created a number of chances - players of note for me:

Craig - one really brave save where he looked like he might have been injured.
Dwayne Samuels - getting back to his best in my opinion and great to see it cheers
Matt Heath - 1st time I have seen him in a full 90 - won everything in the air and looked in total control cheers
Adam Boulder - was at the game with 4 friends, Leamington fans, who summarised his contribution in 2 words - "Rolls Royce" cheers
Chris Hall - after the rubbish printed in the Advertiser he came on second half, was a real handful, and thought his body language at the end of the game was interesting - responded as if we had just won through to the FA Cup final - nothing wrong with his attitude or application and brings players into play cheers

All in all a thoroughly professional performance - my MOM - Matt Heath

We obviously need to build on this - a number of results went our way and next weeks fixtures give us another opportunity to progress - good luck to the Team in the build up to next week - wont be easy but a noisy home crowd would be a big help.

Heath is a great signing, both for his defensive qualities, but also the on and of field leadership that we've probably been missing since White left. Helps when you are in sticky situations to have the onfield leaders, especially away from home.

I think Killock left it as he thought it'd bounce through to the keeper but the pitch was deceptive and held the ball up. Apart from that we looked solid.

Sort out the consistency in front of goal and we're not far off I think. Great to see Worsfold back, he's quick and he has a great finish, for me since he's moved into the centre forward role he's looked a lot more comfortable and confident.

Looking forward to BPA. Get on a roll now and we are business. As DK says though difficult run coming up, defining for this season. Having said that i'd back us to have a good chance of beating anybody at home. It's the away games that have been the issue against lower/mid table teams.

Some interesting stats on here to chew on:

26/1 to win the Conf North?

I might just punt £50 on that one. Only 10 points behind N Ferriby, and we are by far the best footballing team in the division.

A few weeks ago, I was speaking to a close friend of mine who works at Liverpool FC, and who i've known since I were knee high and he said he went to watch the Vauxhall vs Harrogate match with a few friends, and it was pointed out that although we lost 1-0, he thought we were a very good footballing team. One of the best he had seen there.

If someone had of said to me at the start of the season that after 25 games we would be 10 points behind leaders I would have snapped their hand off...Fairly happy with where we are, thankful that there is quite alot of inconsistency in the top 10...I think we can roll on from here...Was gutted to miss saturday but these days with 2 young boys and a 6month baby it is difficult to get to long distance away games.

Give me the £50 instead. I will look after it for you and give it you back at the end of the season. You'll thank me for it.

You might as well have put it on Joey Barton to win the next Ballon D'or!

Don't think you'll be getting a return on the free bet Neil, but good luck anyway! The play offs are still a realistic possibility however, we are back in the hunt again. Saturday yet another massive game (they keep coming!). We obviously need to go on a run of a few wins to really get in the mix. Some good teams there but no-one is unbeatable. Still wish we had our own Jarman or Bogle or Durrell...still we seem to have goals from lots of different players, lets hope its enough.

Starting to regret those 3 deductrd points again  Shocked
