Had a few last night TownUltra?

Big game against Solihull on Saturday. I think the next three games will shape the rest of our season. Solihull started the season well however they have slipped up in the last few games and hopefully we can take advantage!

Pretty much Jordan. Rock and roll lifestyle, you know how it is, living on the edge, sleep when i die, late night drink fuelled Town rants on the forum.

I stand by my Deacey campaign though. There's something strange going on there. Do we see the Chuckle Brothers on TV anymore ? No , but 'coincidentally' Deacey appears in non league football in the late 90s.

Given there were 189 people at the Trophy game, I could hear everything that the players were saying and I'm sure I heard BPA shouting 'to me- to you' at each other.... Now tell me there's not something going on there.

I (just) about remember those days TownUltra: those skiffle groups were really wild!
On to football, really big game Saturday. I do agree with Jordan that the next three games are vital, one defeat would be just about copeable with, anything else and our play off hopes (already slender) would be just about gone.
Really important to keep the less fanatic fans (like us!) motivated, and keep the crowds decent. If we completely slip off the radar re: the play offs, it becomes a long old season.
Solihull is winnable, but tough. To be honest, I'd take a draw now, and hope we can turn over Alty at home (what a mouth watering game that is...sheesh!).

Have to disagree Paul - it is a tough call but I believe we need the 3 points as I believe this will then have a massive spinoff into the following 2 games. Accept at any other time a point at Solihull would be useful but this time we need the 3 - would rather play next goal winner if it's a draw after 90:D Very Happy Very Happy

Just saw Solihull and Alty highlights (on the Alty forum)...They look like a well organised team, but I think if we keep their number 9 quiet then we should be taking 3 points. If I was giving the team talk I would say play as though we are 1-0 down, lots of urgency, lots of pressing higher up the pitch and when we get the ball lets get people forward.

9 points away from the top pack currently, a couple of 6 pointers coming up, I would rather we lost trying!!

Well we turned up @ the ground but not on the pitch their last season!!!!
They also “did us” @ the CNG!
And the season before that @ Damson Park was even worse

    Shocked
They are still unbeaten at home this season in the league!
It’s going to be a bit like playing AFC Telford United away but without the crowd!!!!

I would imagine Weaver has or is making a few substitutions and we are going to go for the jugular in the last 3rd of the game.....We may concede a breakaway or make a comeback, hopefully the latter.

no shot on target today, 3 down, mid table, no chance of anything. I am starting to get a bit fed up. What is going on ?

Lost with a dismal display, I despair.

IT SIMPLY ISNT GOOD ENOUGH !

    GET IT SORTED.

They were just a class above us out there today! With attackers that can score...very disappointing journey back home now :/

Seems like the main web site has given up, no team, no updates, and i thought people where getting over excited beating relegation fodder soon as we play a decent team it shows our weakness l NO DAM GOALSCORER and now we have to play two top teams in our next two games looks like we could be on a run of the unwanted kind
i see their top goalscorer Omar Bogle scored two didn't he get a hat trick against us last season? and we face Damien Reeves next week affraid

Here is a few comments about todays game from another forum:

"went to see Moor Green Land Rovers Motors today vs 6th

MGM won 3-0 and 6th were never in it. how Weaver can spend so much money and have completely nothing to show for is astounding. I would be royally fucked off if i was a harrogate fan and had travelled to watch that garbage. jaz singh made three saves at best all game. as soon as solihoof took the lead the game was over. hoof's best player was darryl knight and most attacks went through him down the right, and he combined really well with the big fat lad gary birch who was surprisingly good today, and involved in all of the goals. though as i said to the hoof fans there was nothing on the left all game, and if the oppostopped the right side, there would be no attacking option."

Yep this is why I have wound down the away travel this year!

I'm not sure the new players that have arrived are any better than what we currently have, sounds like we needed the experienced heads out there today.

Well I did say last week, when everybody was getting carried away, expect more juggling.

This week - One gone back, two new ones in...he just can't help it. There's no stability, no team building, no giving some of the players we have a good run of games and a fair crack of the whip. How can you have so many squad changes after just 15 games and expect a team to gel or have a closely bonded team spirit?

Heading towards a hundred defeats with well over a hundred players...in less than 5 seasons. I don't care what the Weavers say, there's no clear strategy when it comes to players.

We were taught yet another football lesson by Solihull Moors yesterday!
And a “Northern Counties East” performance from our midfield helped them along their way!
With only 1 shot on goal for the 20 fans that made the trip down, you do feel a bit short changed!!!!
    Shocked
