Went to the reserve game last night and report that Ollie Ryan had a full 90 minute run out along with two trialists that Simon (in attendance) was looking at.
Obviously Ryan was there to score a few goals to give him confidence which he duly obliged with a four goal haul in an 8 - 1 win (he actually missed the easiest chance he had and stepped aside when he won a penalty to let Craig Heard score). The two trialists looked ok but difficult to tell against opposition that were a million miles below CN level.
Quite pleasing that the reserves look 100% better than they did last year and one or two might be in for a bench place later in the season if things continue as they are.
One benefit this year is that we seem to be a more integrated club than last year, which hopefully will bode well for the future.
