Major Update For CNG Stadium Empty Major Update For CNG Stadium

Post by rangerider Thu Jun 20, 2013 1:18 am

Wow am i impressed picked out my standing place at the hospital end already, this looks really good on the pictures and i am very impressed with the interview with Irving, things are looking good for town off the pitch and with a few more quality signings  on the pitch as well, looking forwards to hearing about the season tickets all sounds very exciting, just a few questions

    1) when will we know about the funding?

    2) when will the work start during the season or in the close season?

    3) any plans to extend the main stand towards the hospital end? (need to fill that gap)

    4) any news of another striker coming in? lol!

    Hi rangerider,

    1) When it is in place

    2) Hopefully (question 1 in place willing) it will be during the close season.

    3) Not as yet but Irving has lots of plans so don't rule it out.

    4) .......

    Hope this helps,

    Peter

Could be some large away followings in Conference North in a few years time!!!

There will still be a few this season.

A redeveloped stadium will definitely improve the atmosphere at the ground & that with a competitive team should encourage more fans down more often!

    Interesting times ahead!!!!

I too watched the interview with Irving couldn't agree more with what he said about attendances, that success is the real thing that will bring in the numbers and that he wants the fans to drive the team on more. But hopefully the new terrace at the hospital end should project it more, am I right in saying it should be in place for the 2014-15 season?

For the larger teams with big away followings will segregation be put in place?

The majority of sides in this league don’t have to worry about needing to improve their grounds for promotion!
Although saying that there are a few who don’t even have a ground & have to ground share!!!!!!
    Shocked
But compared to other leagues there is a “massive difference” form the best to the worst grounds in Conference North!!!!
Stockport fans are in for a shock

Hmm have a look at the Leamington link, you may want to keep a wide birth from their curry sauce.

Telford looks a nice ground, and i remember the 60s style floodlights at Barrow brings back memories when you went to an away match  in the 60s you could always find the ground by looking for the floodlights happy days

When I first watched Town the ground looked completely different to this!!!!
A lot of hard work has been done over the years to reach this level, much of which has been done voluntary!
Has anyone got any old photos of the ground that could be added here?

If you are a shareholder you might get to find something out about the ground at the meeting!
Probably waiting for the i’s to be dotted & the t’s to be crossed before releasing any information into the public domain!

I'd like to become a shareholder, as I truly believe that in the next 2/3 years, very special things are going to happen at Harrogate Town, and we will be the envy of non-league football.

I think the new stand at the far end (Hospital) is going ahead this summer ... come what may ... but awaiting confirmation

And maybe a new stand down the Wetherby Road side in 2015?

Either way, what great times at the club - the 1st team are playing superbly well and off the pitch lots of good things happening ...

It was quite amusing last time.

I have muted "The Johnny Walker Stand" for ages. It could still be sponsored but to give such a fantastic ambassador a fitting tribute gets my vote.

If not, " The Lynchy End !"

I think if they are going to do it, I think a stand would be the most fitting tribute to the man. Maybe the stand at the hospital end when built?

But then we also have to think from a business perspective, these 2 stands will provide an opportunity for extra sponsorship income, so although we would all like to see a stand re-named in Johnny's name, I'm not too sure what Irving and Co. may think of this suggestion at this moment in time.

It may be an idea the supporters club can moot to Ged and Co. at the next supporters club meeting? Get some feedback from Irving and see what his view is?

Need to keep increasing revenue as much as possible to compete against the bigger supported sides in this league!!
Or the full-time sides in the next league!!!!!
     Shocked
If we can keep attendances moving in an upward direction over the next few years then that in itself should help increase revenue!
So I would expect the club to be looking for a sponsor for the new stand which will help the club compete at the highest level possible!!!!

Talking about increasing revenue there has been leaflets knocking about at the last 2 home games regarding the launch of the new gold bond website. It is a weekly draw with 315 prizes on offer each week with 80p of every pound placed coming back to provide funds for the football club.
One problem, the leaflet advises 'visit [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] and follow the link to Gold Bond to join securely on line'. I am wanting to join but can't find this link anywhere on the website. Can anyone point me in the right direction?
