Harrogate 2 Armthorpe Welfare 2
First 10 minutes pretty bad after being 2-0 down. Then really improved. Broadbent had a good game but i didnt know the team today so lets hope teamsheet comes up on the website. The N.10 looked lively. Although last weeks number 2 wasnt there which i dont know maybe town are playing 2 teams so todays team then totally different on thursday. Curtis passes were super and it was a not bad performance.

Re: Harrogate 2 Armthorpe Welfare 2
Number 10 was Chris Ovington, ex Leeds Utd reserve player.

Looked quite good, very much like Marshall in style, in my opinion.
Curtis again played well, and the number 11 looked quick.

Re: Harrogate 2 Armthorpe Welfare 2
U BEAT ME TO IT CAN SOMEONE DELETE MY THREAD!!!!!!!!
Thought we played some decent stuff tonight, thought woodhouse looked a class apart his passing is so acurate and he dictates the tempo of the team. I thought Bloomer at the back looked quality never put a foot wrong all game along with sturdy who also looked quality. I think warren Burrel looks a decent player and i would like to see him signed up. Its hard to judge the keepers realy but i think the keeper in the 1st half shud maybe have saved the 1st goal but other than that looked o.k I think the keeper i think it was hernandez in the 2nd half i think he looks very good. Also i thought the left back looked better tonight than the one against railway. And the right/left winger was that chris ovington from leeds a i swear i recognised him??? he looked a class act cut in and had a nice shot and also set up the second goal. and what a great header from jonno up front

Re: Harrogate 2 Armthorpe Welfare 2
A pretty fair summary. We really started to pick them off in the second half as they tired and we strung some passes together. I thought Tom Hirst ?had a good game, and although there were more trials on show than Nuremburg, we looked like a team in the last 20 minutes in spite of the subs. Pity more didn't turn out to see it.
Pitch looked superb and the rain helped both teams to move the ball around quicker, whereas at Railway the surface was too dry and the ball held up. Referee had an easy game compared with that nasty little affair at railway.
Heard their manager winding their players up in the warm up on saturday. Sounded more like a corner man before a big fight than a football match. Apparently someone tried to mention TacTics but he told them not to eat mints on he pitch.

Meanwhile, four young professionals and two scholars have been released from the club and are free to pursue their footballing careers elsewhere.
Nathan Cartman, Chris Ovington, Ross Wilkinson, Matt Edwards, Lee Booth, and Sam Jerome are all parting company with the club.
Everyone at Leeds United wishes the departing young players the very best of luck for the future.
Further announcements regarding our senior players out of contract will be made on leedsunited.com in due course

Had loan spells with Guiseley and at Farsley at the end of last season.

Re: Harrogate 2 Armthorpe Welfare 2
Its 5 quid for me as im 16 which is pretty annoying but i spose they gotta pick an age to stop somewhere...
Did your mate go and say he was a concession or did he just wait for the guy to say how much .. usually if you say concession they will let you straight through i was getting through as concession last year

Just say at the turnstile "concession" and your age, shouldn't be a problem, they may ask for ID as they used to do so "on the Buses" when asking for Half fare!!!!

Meet the players !!!
Seems that nobody actually knew who the team was last night.
Still not interested in the folk who turn up and pay their money eh !!

Re: Harrogate 2 Armthorpe Welfare 2
Well lets just say on my comments of the players
Chris Ovington (10) Impressed ex leeds folk.
Trialist (7) Won every header from each corner was a bit of a Nicky Gray impressed by him
same to the number 11.
And again we didnt play John Lamb, Leon Scott, Dave McTeirnan?

Re: Harrogate 2 Armthorpe Welfare 2
Agree with much thats been said: Hirst looks good, as last season, hope we sign him. Ovington looked good as did the 7. Bloomer and Woodhouse both look quality. Apparently the game was arranged because Town were 'looking at' Rollo Holden, well hope they liked what they saw and efforts are being made to sign him! (he was there number 9). Burrell has looked good twice now: hope we can sign him as well. Quite hard to feel involved with the game (which was very entertaining I thought), it still felt like 11 strangers running around with our shirts on! I'd have thought Simon needed to start choosing a more or less full strength side fairly soon now: August 8th ain't that far away.
I do feel the club should have at least had an announcer reading the team names out, they were charging for admission after all, it involves some responsibility for those paying!

Re: Harrogate 2 Armthorpe Welfare 2
Number 7 looked very comfortable on the ball
Ovington has genuine pace and desire
Mahoney took his headed equaliser well, not sure he has the pace needed to thrive in Blue Sq North
Most of the signed players are still on holiday ... maybe a couple more there tonight
