Gainsborough won 2-0 and are 4 points clear of Town. Shocked

Not good. A real problem for us is that things are really outside our direct control now, if other teams keep picking up points , there is little we can do even if we get results ourselves. I believe that we really need a run of consecutive victories to give us a chance: 3 wins in a row: 9 points could at least put us back 'in the mix'. And yes we REALLY do have to win on Saturday.

More hope if Glouscester do a Kings Lynn style relegation because there ground is not good enough. Have never been or seen it there ground, but how does Whetherby Road get around all this legislation? Not the nices or facilitated grounds even in the conf north

It is'nt the best, facility wise, but it meets all the criteria.
We suffer from the past. The Town has never had a football team playing at a high level until the past five years. The club has never had enough money and the Council have never been interested in improving/moving and the state of the ground reflects this.

On the issue of being (possibly) saved by other clubs misfortunes, have you seen that the Administrator seems to be losing patience with Farsley and is demanding a definite decision re: finances by next Thursday? So there seem to be various potential lifelines we can cling to even if we can't do it on the pitch. I guess the Unibond Premier wouldn't be too bad (only had one year in it after all), but suppose we went down, won promotion at the first attempt (optimist!), would our ground be deemed acceptable?
