York City FC Empty York City FC

Post by Big Lundy Wed Feb 22, 2017 6:45 pm

Starting to look a bit iffy for York City!!!
Still think they might just survive, but when you look at what’s happened with Stockport County since they were relegated to National League North they won’t find it that easy to bounce straight back up again!!!!
It’s hard to believe that not so long ago Harrogate Town used to be North Yorkshires 4th senior Football club behind York City, Scarborough, & Whitby Town!!!
    Shocked

Not sure York will survive. Not sure when the new ground comes online but it'll make for an interesting local derby next season

What a boring reply from V! Actually, York's future is fascinating, not just the story itself, but the impact it would have on Town. At least two massive derby games every year (Christmas and New Year?), and maybe some disillusioned Harrogate Minster Men will transfer their affections to Town.

I don't really like York City (no particular reason, just don't like them!), so I hope they do go down. I think they may struggle now. Guiseley are currently flying and should be able to save themselves, so it looks like 4 out of 5. Their away form (or lack of it) may the ultimate factor.

Go on Rail's forum/twitter.........now that is BORING.

V, is that why you come on here.
Nobody on here is slagging Rail, just concern for their future. Nobody wants to see a football club fold, even if it's your rival.
Seems to me that you are slagging us off, chip on shoulder maybe.
    Move on.

York City fans will still turn up in decent numbers if they do come down!

It's been quoted that York estimated away support was 1300-1400.
Not bad for a team who went 35 away games without a win!!!!!!
