    442 on Sunday anyone?
Super Jack to stay in the team?
Anyone found a way to look forward to it without remembering our relegation challenging longer term form?

    Elliot

    Ellis
    Shiels
    Singe

    Emmett
    Burrell
    Platt
    Kerry
    Leesley

    Chib
    JPP

Can play either 352, or 3142 with platt holding, we def need 2 up top, but a key battle is competing physically with them, it was boys v en at points on Boxing Day on that front.

Yours chips but with super Jack in there. Only player in the team who can take players on with pace. Like yours topcat but would worry about the wing back areas.
Think we all would like to see 2 up yeah?

Parker for Swain. Fitting jack in is tough but 2 up front, ideally Chib and JP.

I would just play Ainge up front and have Crook as sweeper with zero other players...That way we can play super narrow with no balls whipped in and we can watch Crook's calamity decision making. Ooo for a minute I thought I was going on Sunday and I have just realised I am not yeahhhhhhhhhhh get in!

All about supporting the team, win lose or draw. Looking forward to the game and no reason why we can't get the 3 pts.

Well there are quite a few reasons why we won't get 3 points. Like the horrific form Town are in and a manager who surely can't have too much more left on his wish list so he can show he can manage a football team.

I am only going for pints in the bungalow and to see a few town fans. Sure we can't tempt you Trev? You know Stockport at this time of year and one up front can be oh so exciting.

Well, we finally get a bit of luck.
Goalkeeping error makes up for ours last week.

Settle for a get out of jail point but really not good enough all over the park. Didn't protect the ball, lumped it up the pitch into space and didn't get anyone around JP for knockdowns. Lot of huff and puff but they gave us that pt as can't remember their keeper having to do anything in game.

How many shots on target did they have at ours last week?
I cannot remember any at all apart from the gift we gave them for their goal.

Brayed the ball off the cross bar early on. We were certainly better than last time out and hopefully we'll continue to grind out wins from here on in.

I know they did, but hitting the post is not on target.
Noticed that little left winger that threw himself to the floor at every opportunity last week was at it again today. Cheat

No but we didn't look like getting anything today. Lots of huff and puff but 1 pt out of a possible 6 speaks for itself. 2 massive games coming up that can start to get us heading in the right direction!

Didn't go but can't resist making a comment.
From what I've followed on the media we deserved to lose today but to be fair our efforts deserved a draw last week, so as sw suggests our (measley) one point haul today from the 2 matches is fair-dos.

I thought we deserved a point purely for the effort we put in and it's about time we had a spot of luck. Never really looked as if we would win the game. We played 2 up front for a change but Day is not ready yet and not a big presence up front. Chib did get on but did not do his cause much good with poor ball control letting him down. I think if he had started we would have been stronger up front.Thought Kerry okay 1st half but poor 2nd half being caught with the ball too many times. Congratulations must go to Crook for no major cockup. Glad he was kept in the team. Ellis had his trademark head bandage on playing a major part in the game. Roll on to Saturday and our usual friendly game with Alfreton!

I suppose with only 1 win out of 10 league games & no public transport available yesterday we can’t grumble with a turnout of 81 @ Stockport!!!!
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
Not sure how accurate these figures are when the majority of matches aren’t segregated in this league!!!

Roughly mid-way Conference North rough averages

    Stockport 505
    FCUM 468
    Darlington 379
    Halifax 361
    Kiddy 224
    Salford 194
    Chorley 156
    Alty 127
    Boston 102
    Fylde 84
    Telford 81
    Nuneaton 76
    Gloucester 71
    Tamworth 71
    Worcester 66
    Harrogate 66
    BPA 51
    Alfreton 51
    Curzon 47
    Gainsborough 31
    Stalybridge 22
    Brackley 13

    LEAGUE AVERAGE roughly 149

A point on this awful run is truly welcomed. Deserved through the effort of jackie, Danny and kerry. Funny that those two first lads were dropped for no good reason despite being key to our success last season.....does anyone really think that fat lad alty winger and Wayne nothingsby were better than Joe colbeck let alone jack.
We showed nothing but when a point lands in your lap you grab it.

The next two matches and indeed January are vital to town being mid table also rans or relegation candidates. The matches towards the end of the season get nasty again so we need points now. If we can't muster two wins against Alfreton and bpa it shows how far this better than last season squad has gone. On another note a tricky time of year to play but wonder how many town players were out the night before. My old pal ryan fallowfield, doing great in the division above btw, stopped in and got their results, whilst a few york lads were seen out. Small margins that get results.
