    York City. Empty York City.

Very enjoyable evening of football .Thought Andi Thanoj was Fantastic all night.Really ran the show, plus what a great finish as well.If we had won by 3 or 4 clear goals it wouldn't have looked out of place. We really should be more ruthless in front of goal.
The defence look solid, the midfield again so strong all over the middle.A fox in the box is all that's missing...at the moment..
SW will have sleepless nights with the quality at his disposal and just who will be is first choice starting 11 at Worcester.
    Well played everyone.

Just heard York manager saying the game was not very good and it was a good run out for some of his kids! Was he at the game last night . If thats his thoughts then i feel sorry for York fans. He needs to go now because hes no idea. He played a fat c/forword who caused maybe all the bookings by being dirty and had to take him off at half time. Looks promising for us this season if the correct team is played and not picked on sentiment.

He only has a 15% win record in competitive fixtures since he took over York. My friend who is a York fan doesn't rate him, at all.

If he thinks that was physical he certainly has not done his homework on the National League. He has signed four players from our level, surely one of them will have informed him how physical it is going to be. His own player, (and I say that loosely) Brodie, was the instigator of much of the nastiness that went on in the first half and he realised it by yanking the fat get off at half time.

Boy, that was impressive. As bo says, should have been 3-1 or 4-1. Did Crook have a real save to make (apart from their goal, of course!). Agree that Thanof looks superb, a much better replacement for Daniels (loved the chant after Thanof scored!). Daniels scored great goals, but often did not do much else, Thanof is never out of the game. I'm a great fan of Chib, as you know, but I have to say I thought Knowles played really well last night, and I would start him with Robertson on August 6th. Tough, tough choices for Simon, don't envy him having to tell some really good players they won't be starting against Worcester. Lets face it, some won't even be on the bench!

York must be desperate having Brodie wearing number 9...might be swapping places im May!!

Talking of Daniels goals, might be wrong but i don't think hes scored a goal all preseason?
Here York's managers thoughts about last night.

Looked good second half - wee bit annoyed they didn't send a proper first team - so makes Worcester so hard to predict despite the good scores preseason. We look great but then have we been really tested? Bit worried that the likes of Cobeck and Emmett will be forced out given our rejection of wing play and width seemingly. Let's hope we do not follow the England route!
Kerry is also looking even better than last season - this seasons stand out performer?

Worcester are a team we should be beating in all honestly, but if we are to be considered as promotion candidates; we should be leaving there with 3 points.

Worcester are also having a lot of problems internally at the moment with the board and chairman, so much that there has been discussions of a phoenix club being set up. This is something that, although I dont like to see a fellow league club struggle, we have to take advantage of on next Saturday.

Hi guys. I am a collector of York City match tickets. I was wondering if anybody had one from the Harrogate V York game. I know they weren't given through the gates but my mate saw somebody with one. Could it have been a comp? Any information from you guys would be great! Thanks and good luck for the season.
