Lots of grit and determination, but certainly not a footballing spectacle.. However , it's the business end of the season, so grit and determination that results in a positive outcome is acceptable.

Another 3 pts in the bag. Need to put FC Utd back in their tin and then we will start to see if Solihull start choking!

Scrappy performance but a deserved three points. Could have scored a couple more in the first 20 mins when we were definitely on top.
Whilst they had the lions share of possession, they hardly troubled Crook. Thought Ellis was immense at the back winning everything and McGurk slotted in fine when he came on.
Three wins out of three with a couple of home games coming up. I am starting to dream.

Re: TOWN on TOUR! Stalybridge Celtic
Yeah, a good first half performance.
Agreed about Ellis - also thought Clayton was excellent, winning everything and holding the ball up well.
Second half I though the team looked tired, which is a worry with the fixture congestion coming up. The whole team worked their bollocks off all game, but we seemed a yard off most balls in the 2nd half, which wasn't helped by the constant (slightly desperate) long balls and clearances. Slowing it down and getting Staybridge to play our game would have been ideal.
Still, as others have said, at this stage it's just about getting the points and they did that

Re: TOWN on TOUR! Stalybridge Celtic
Stalybridge has always been a tough place for us, so it was pleasing to go away with the 3 points. Not many teams in this league would fancy going to Stalybridge on a Tuesday evening and getting a result. We did, and at this stage in the season, I would take the 3 points, regardless of the level of performance from the remaining games. We keep this level of recent performances up, then automatic promotion is in our reach.
I believe that it can be done.

Hey coming off a very very tough game on sat to dig in for a 1-0 against a tough physical stalybridge side just 2 days rest is a great result. Asking questions of Solihull now. Squeaky bum time for big time bignot

Trick is to maintain consistency and keep grinding out results and hoping that Solihull hit a soft patch. Does anyone know the reason for Nat going off ie nowt to worry about or surgery in America booked?

It will be done - we are a machine at the moment. Grinding out two great victories, especially as celtic were in good form. To hold our nerve so steadfastly was excellent.

And a another disallowed goal.
Ellis is the lynchpin. Done it last season, will do it again this. His experience will be telling in the dressing room as well as the pitch on the run in.
Great Work on the Twitter feed last night.

Re: TOWN on TOUR! Stalybridge Celtic
Looking at the final fixtures I see Solihull will be playing Chorley at home and FCUM away - our two most disappointing results! If the league goes on much as it is now our mega match will be Fylde away.
